Requires Magic in the Mundane to learn

    On completion of the ritual the casters will expend 1 Blood, 1 Temp Willpower and 1 Mental   Trait in order to enchant themselves or another person present during the ritual with an effect similar to Magic in the Mundane.  The effect will only remain in place until the following sunrise.  Once during that time frame the enchanted target may spend 1 Mental Trait and 1-3 blood to gain twice as much blood spent in bonus traits on any attribute based test and its following retests during a given challenge.  If this is a static test they may also claim a lucky retest for the chosen test.  The effect of this ritual does not have to be called until after the test is made.  Only one occurrence of this ritual may be used on any given subject per sunrise no matter how many different casters attempt to enact it.

Roughly translated enechsenchas refers to the knowledge of the weight of obligations. An ashipu with such knowledge is sometimes better equipped to call upon the covenants they have forged. The ashipu begins with songs of glory, ritual bathing, chiminage, or some other performance and continues with a litany of praise for the particular spirit in question. While the spirit in question is open to the ashipu's influence and calmed by his placation it is possible to directly feed the power of a holy relic to that spirit.

System: This ritual is cast in relation to a particular Fetish, and serves as a form of appeasement to the spirit within. Such placation allows the Caster to sacrifice a holy relic to attempt the Fetish activation rather than spending the traditional Willpower. This can be done once at anytime within twenty-seven hours of the casting. If the caster wishes to activate the Fetish again he must either use Willpower or recast the ritual. Due to the auspicious nature of such events, if cast on the solstice or equinox the spirit contained within will not attack the Caster the next time the Fetish breaks should that happen before the next solstice or equinox.

Advanced Ritual

Description: This ritual strengthens 'Trap the Demon' against escape.  Designed for holding more powerful demons, this ritual is a must for anything beyond your typical servants of Hell.  To cast this Ritual the thaumaturge must expend a permanent Willpower, focusing his vitae and will to enhance the trap with his own unlife force.

System: This ritual must be cast before 'Trap the Demon' is triggered, but after it is cast. When cast this ritual gives the trap 6 traits to hold whatever is trapped inside it.

Enki was known as the god of knowledge and wisdom, bearer of the secrets of life and death. Creating symbols that represent the god Enki on the walls of a library makes the library safe against anyone who wants to steal the wisdom that is in the books in that library.
This ritual requires 3 Sorcerer's blood points, one point of blood and spent a mental characteristic for each 3 meters in diameter you want to protect the area of the library. Any book that is inside the library in the performance of this ritual will be protected, anyone who removes a book from that library and leaves the area of that ritual, the book turn into dust at the very moment that leaves the safe area of the library. Performing this ritual all night long grants protection to this library for a period of 1 year and 1 day.

Ephemeral Puppet Hex - Advanced ritual

This powerful ritual allows the thaumaturge to combine transmutive and hexing magics to transfer the essence of a mortal victim into a wax facsimile of a person.  The ritual costs 5 blood, 5 mental traits and a willpower to cast, and requires both the incapacitated mortal or ghoul victim and a wax mannequin, which needs bear no resemblance to the victim aside from gender, and must appear basically human.

 

After placing the victim and the mannequin in a circle drawn in salt, the thaumaturge must chant and dance about the two for three hours, guiding the victim's essence into the mannequin, symbolized by infusing the 5 blood traits required to cast the ritual, and imparting the wax personage with some aspects of humanity.  The mannequin's skin will appear as normal skin, hair will appear as normal hair, etc.  It has no bodily functions, however, and feels room temperature to the touch.  Most observers would mistake the mannequin for a person or kindred.  Active heightened senses allows a static mental against the creator's permanent mental traits to notice that the mannequin appears to be a construct.  This test is not an Auspex vs. Obfuscate challenge.

 

During the ritual's duration, the animated mannequin is susceptible to any supernatural power used upon it, such as Dominate (including Possession), Animalism (Quell the Beast) or Thaumaturgical rituals specifically affecting mortals.  If the mannequin's flesh is pierced, it will appear to bleed, but the wound looks strangely false, and attackers might notice that their attacks feel as if they are cutting through soft clay.  The construct has 5 blood, 5 physical traits, 5 Health levels and doesn’t suffer wound penalties when damaged.

 

This hex lasts for three nights, ending at Midnight of the third night after the casting, at which time the victim's essence will return and she will awaken confused.  If the mannequin is killed, the mortal dies.  If the mortal's body is killed, the ritual ends immediately, and the mannequin falls to the ground lifeless, possibly breaking, and definitely confusing onlookers.

Epistula Phasma ("Ghost Letter")
This is a simple ritual, made for sending a written message to an acquaintance.

System: Asingle sheet of parchment is magically pre‐prepared using a trait of the caster's blood. It will not be possible by any means to determine who sent the letter, apart from recognizing the handwriting, etc. When activated, the note will travel through the ether to its intended recipient where it will hover in front of them in an incorporeal form which only they (or someone with active Thaumaturgical Sight) can see. The target will know the letter is intended for them, and may choose to pluck it out of thin air. The note will wait for an opportune moment to manifest, rather than when the recipient is occupied, distracted, or traveling. Should they choose to not accept the note within a reasonable amount of time (10 minutes) or if they move away from it the effect will end and the message will be forever lost between planes.

The caster can only send notes to people they are acquainted with, and have actually met in person. Encrypt missive can be used in conjunction with this casting, but any other rituals are subject to ST discretion as to if they will work combined with epistula phasma. This is designed as little more than a glorified cantrip, intended for passing notes.

Erzulie's Favor (Custom Wanga Ritual; Advanced)
The Wangateur makes an offering to Erzulie, the Loa of love and beauty. The offering is typically candy and perfume. The Wangateur then takes a dove feather, dips it in their own blood, and asks Erzulie to bless it. If successful, Erzuilie will bless you with beauty.
System: The ritual takes an hour and requires a Social Challenge, difficulty 9, retested with Occult. Upon success, the dove feather grants the Social Traits Alluring x3. However, if you lose a challenge in which you bid one of the Alluring traits, all traits from the feather are lost and the ritual loses power. This ritual lasts until sunrise.

Advanced Ritual

This ritual was designed by Santino to create a mask that will increase the wearer's Courage Rating as well as intimidate others while it is being worn.

Mechanics:

In order to create this mask the necromancer must subdue between 1 and 3 wraith and, with the assistance of one of his own wraiths, forge the unfortunate souls into a mask which he will wear in the skinlands.

System: Subdue (via any means appropriate to the character) a wraith and have another wraith with Soulforging or Moliate craft the victims into a wearable mask for the necromancer, along with a trait of the caster's blood and a hair from a lion (or some other "courage" related animal).  The caster then recites the short blessing of battle over the mask, completing the enchantment (and making the ritual challenge at this point - failures means he must start over).  The mask can be worn in the shadowlands at this point, granting the caster a a permanent bonus to his courage and additional "Intimidating" social traits usable only against creatures in the shadowlands, or it can be removed from the shadowlands (by some means not related to this ritual) where the caster can then use it as he pleases and gain the benefits against anyone in the shadowlands or the skinlands.  If removed from the shadowlands the mask deteriorates over time and fades completely from existence after a year and a day have passed from the time it was brought into the skinlands. The mask grants a bonus courage trait and a bonus social trait as described above for each wraith used in it's creation, up to three.  So a mask created with three souls would grant +3 courage and +3 Intimidating social traits to the wearer.  The caster may only have one such mask in existence at a time, and no drones may be used in the creation of a mask - they must be wraiths with at least 3 permanent willpower

Storytellers are strongly recommended to run a scene where the necromancer or his minions must actively attempt to subdue the wraiths to be used for the mask in a manner fitting with your game's house rules.  This shouldn't be an easy task.

This ritual is simply a ward cast and scribed on the inside cover of a bound book where, after casting the book cannot be opened without intoning the power phrase (set during the casting). If the correct phrase is not uttered before opening the book, it combusts and burns to ashes (causing no damage to the person holding the book).

System: As a Basic Ritual this takes a casting time of 15 min., and one blood trait (used as the ink of the ward).

Objective of the Ritual:
This ritual causes a mystical plant to rapidly grow from a previously prepared Blood Seed. The plant spreads across the stone surface where the Gargoyle has merged through Visceratika, forcing it to be expelled abruptly.

A Blood Seed
Limestone Powder
Gardening Tools
Blood (Vitae) of the ritual performer
A vial of witch's herb essence (Aconitum)
Steps of the Ritual:
To prepare the Blood Seed, open a hole in the center of the triskelion using gardening tools, and sprinkle the limestone powder over the seed while reciting: "Terra Mater, Petra Pater, Visceratika Evomit." Visualize the plant's roots breaking through the structures around the Gargoyle. Pour seven drops of your Vitae over the seed. Then, add seven drops of the witch's herb essence into the vessel. The essence will strengthen the plant's mystical nature. Recite: "Vitae et Herba, Coniunge et Cresce. Visceratika Obruta, Planta Emergit!" At this moment, touch the vessel with both hands, transferring mystical energy through desire and seeking harmony with your Vitae previously deposited in the Blood Seed to accelerate the plant's growth. Finally, bury the prepared Blood Seed near the structure where the Gargoyle is immersed, touch the soil, and finalize the enchantment: "Expulsio Petra Viva."

Result:
A mystical plant will rapidly grow from the Blood Seed, taking about 7 minutes to cover the entire area and settle on the surface. If a Gargoyle is merged with the stone using Visceratika, it will be forced to separate, being abruptly expelled from the surface immediately. The plant makes the area hostile to Gargoyles, preventing them from using Visceratika to merge with the stone in that area for 1 week, the duration of this mystical plant's life cycle. This ritual is effective within a radius of up to 5 meters from the point where the seed was buried.

By reciting the above passage from the book of nod and blessing himself, The Rafiq becomes a beacon of power in service to the Dark Father. Within a 10 foot radius of him, Daeva cannot utilize any form of possession. Not only is he immune to possession by Daeva, but any possessing Daeva or hosts of possessing Daeva that enter a ten foot radius of him are immediately expelled from their host, as if their host died. The host falls to their knees and begins to weep tears of blood in awe at the power of the dark father. If the expelled entities are able to, (after being expelled) they will immediately attack the rafiq. Once the rafiq puts this power up, it lasts for a scene or an hour.

Kindred have often relied on the efforts of kine to protect there holdings  and even their unlife when they slumber. Feeding them vitae gives temporary  supernatural gifts to use in their defense. The Warlock with suitable  medicinal knowledge, however may be able to overcome the limitations of a   mortal's consumption.
Over the course of feeding a ghoul, the thaumaturge will draw a liter of  blood from the intended mortal. They will infuse the mortal's blood with  powdered Slippery Elm Bark, long used by herbalists to purify blood. They will then expend a mental trait equal to the amount of blood to be added to  the ghoul's stores, (up to three). They will then feed the ghoul the  solution as well as their own vitae, adding to the amount of kindred vitae  the ghoul can hold in their system.
