Some chronicles allow for their players to develop customized powers for their characters. The following is a compilation of player created custom content in OWBN. At this time, custom content that is created and/or used by vampire PC's is required to be listed.

** Giovanni has long studied ways of keeping information out of the wrong hands.  Secrets must be kept.

Components to Ritual:

Blood of those who will keep the secret

Cremated Ash of a Lawyer with no scruples.

Mixing the Ash with the Blood and incanting the words creates an ink.  Only those whose blood is part of the ritual may read/see anything written/drawn with the ink.  This ink may be used in any normal application of ink use.  The ritual used may still be discovered using powers such as Thaumaturgical Sight and the like. The necromancer must invoke the names of Saint Ramone(Saint of Secrets) and St. Mark the Evangelist(Saint of Venice).

Purpose of the Ritual:
Create a germinated seed with properties that will allow the growth of a plant imbued with
magic.
Knowledge Used for Creation:
● Knowledge of the Path of Advanced Green.
● Occult Level 5.
● Biology Level 4.
● Chemistry Level 3.
● Academics Agronomy 3.
Necessary materials:
● Vitae.
● Seed from a plant of the following families;Nepenthaceae, Sarraceniaceae,
Droseraceae and Lentibulariaceae.
● Land for planting
● Gardening tools such as pruning shears, shovels and rakes.
● Clay vase
Ritual Process:
Using gardening equipment throughout the process, fill the bottom of the pot with soil, make
a small incision in the seed shell, opening a small wound on its surface, place the seed on
the soil and pour a few drops of Vitae. While filling the pot with earth up to its lid, visualize
the vital energy flowing from the Vitae to the seed, reciting the following mantra; “Hoc Semen
Imbue Sanguine et Robore”. Then in silence, after filling the vase, you must draw a triskle on
its top. Let the earth dry. The vase can be transported in this process, it cannot be broken,
and the triskle design cannot be damaged.
Result:
At the end of this ritual, when the earth on the surface where the triskle is drawn is dry, which
should take about 2 to 3 days, or even less since there is no water involved in the ritual
process, you will then possess a Seed of Blood, which is the vessel itself. This material
should be used so that other rituals can be carried out, such as Nature's Alert, Consumption
of the Green or Living Barrier of Thorns.

Fluff:

In order to correctly perform this ritual, first the array must be constructed. A sheet of bronze must be acquired and modified. A series of depressions, arranged in a 5x5 grid pattern, must be impressed into the bronze. Any inverted or greater inverted bloodstone, placed within the array will display the direction and distance of where the sympathetic object was when the link was severed (by destruction of the target object/person or its removal from the same plane the bloodstone itself is on.)
If someone wishes to determine the direction/distance to the target of a functioning inverted bloodstone, it must be removed from the array, as the purpose of the array is to record and display the direction/distance at the time of the severing of the link.

 

System: While enchanting the array, the thaumaturge must invest their strength of will into the array (in the form of temporary WP). The investiture of will determines the length of the enchantment (see below). The array can be re-enchanted before the original enchantment fades (this resets the timer according to the new expenditure). Should the enchantment fade, the original constructed array may be used again; it simply needs to be re-enchanted.

Description: This ritual was developed by an Irish Brujah passionate about drinks and bohemian life, such love made him able to send his feelings and sensations to any type of drink.

System: As a Punk sorcerer, there is no standard procedure for performing the ritual, however, regardless of how you perform it, you must be drunk or under the influence of drugs and also spend 1 blood point to perform the ritual. After performing the ritual, the caster can put a feeling or sensation into a drink that is stored in a small gallon (2 liters) that lasts until the liquid is completely ingested/destroyed or for a period of 6 months, after which time the ritual loses its effect.

You need a human skull, and at least bone craft for this ritual.

You write the agreement on the skull using bone craft (which may require a bodycrafts chop)

All parties spend a blood and a will. All parties must be willing.

Anyone breaking the agreement loses access to a will power a night, then a mental trait a night once all their will power is gone. When the target hits zero mentals they fall to torpor. The skull will visibly darken while this happens.

This fate can be avoided by either destroying the skull, or finding a way to 'fix' the agreement (which will not always be possible), at which point all lost traits return the following night.

Spend 1 willpower to create. The necromancer gathers the bones from members form past Giovanni family and clan. The bones are then soaked in the blood of a member of clan Giovanni and carefully crafted into a wind chime. Whenever a person not of Giovanni blood enters within 100ft of the chime, throw a contested mental challenge (retested Occult) with the caster of this ritual as the aggressor. If the necromancer succeeds in detecting the invader, the chimes knock together making an eerie sound. Giovanni Perfect Infiltrators receive a free retest, and ties resisting this ritual. This ritual detects the physical bodies entering the chime's circle of effect, not any possessing or free floating spirits.

Along time ago, a book was formed by various Bahari to try and keep a textual record that reveal the story of vampires’ origins of Lilith.  These books were a great tool for Hierophants of Lilith to be able to educate those of the cult and to perform dark rituals in the ways of their Dark Mother.  The issue was that this book if fallen into the wrong hands of an uninitiated, could cause many issues for those of the cult initiated by pain and blood to the Dark Mother.  

 

The Hierophants of the Bahari sought a solution, and they found it by one of their own mortal cultists.  This mortal cultists offered up a pound of flesh to be used to bind the book into being.  To be able to lock the book from the prying eyes of the uninitiated.  Thus the Hierophant stripped the mortals flesh from his back, using his living skin as the book bindings.  Lastly the Baharist, took a single piece of barbed wire and wrapped it around the book using a prayer devoted to Lilith.  

 

Mechanic: The Baharist whom wishes to have the Book of Lilith must first find a mortal to gift a “pound of flesh” to its creation.  This mortal may not be manipulated by disciplines and must offer it up willingly.  After creation, the book is used as the communication means of the Cult of Lilith, and a way to store all rituals and stories of Lilith safely and securely. The flesh then becomes “awakened” allowing the user of the book to keep it locked and only opened by the member the book was made.

 

Using the Book of Lilith during any ritual grants the user +2 traits to the casting of the ritual and an extra “might-like” retest.

*Note - It is wrapped in barbed wire and requires the user to take 1 lethal opening the book.  The book is warm to the touch and made of flesh.

Advanced Ritual Boukphos' Restored Mirror

Using the very mirror that one has already used Boukephos' Gateway on, the Mystic then begins to ritually scar and mark their face with the sigils of the abyss. The curse of the dark one denies them their own visage as they continue to chant why they do this.  Each sigil they mark upon their own flesh, up to five sigils, gives a chance for the abyss to take less than it once did.

Finally, after a  night of ritual incantation, the mystic presses their bleeding face to the mirror, leaving their impression upon the glass; the connection to the abyss forged previously allows the abyss to reach out, entering the mystic's flesh through these wounds.
System:
This ritual may only be cast once by any given mystic, ever, even if it fails. The casting of this ritual must be logged with the Lasombra Coordinator.
The user chooses to take 1-5 lethal damage: one lethal for each sigil they mark upon themselves, as they mark themselves with the Sigils of Ahrimane and Boukephos.

For the duration of this ritual, the user loses all appearance based social traits, and garners 1-5 additional negative appearance based social traits(Abyssal Repugnants), in addition to whatever they may have.
At each equinox and solstice thereafter, the user must then present themselves at midnight to the very same mirror, ripping one of the sigils off of their face and placing it upon the mirror, then chanting and channeling the power of the abyss.  When the chant concludes, the abyss takes back the piece of itself, leaving behind the flesh repaired. The caster must immediately be able to spend the exp to buy off the negative trait(at standard cost, ie 2 xp). Only one sigil may ever be removed at a time.
When all negative traits have been bought off, the user regains all their lost appearance based traits.
When this ritual is completed in its fullness and the last sigil is removed, the user, when activating obtenebration, does not actually spend social traits, if the social traits being spent on that use of obtenebration  are less than the damage they inflicted when initially casting this ritual.
This ritual is not known by any Non-player characters and was PC created.

The Jati and the West have a checkered past. Hate, war, and distrust are hard to forget. Through the work of many the Danava of the Jade Court have created what little of an alliance that may ever come. The Jade court have created this ritual to allow their wayward cousins a small taste of their power.

Mechanic: The Danava are both generous and violent. The user takes a brand to a Ventrue, in the symbol of the Jade Court, and imbue them with a connection that only the divine can use. This ritual lasts for one year, and the caster can only have the amount of brands as they have perm willpower. While branded, the caster can use any ritual or path of magic on the branded, but only works on powers that target themselves (example: potency of the blood could be use, but not repulse)

This ritual was developed as a method of levying punishment of a non-lethal nature on the Children of Seth. By marking the target of this ritual with a mystical brand, the Sadhu ensures that the world will know them for what they are.

System: The Sadhu creates a mystical ink using a mixture of blood and iron dust. Ten minutes must be spent writing an appropriate word on their target - murderer, abuser, jackass, etc. With a static Mental Challenge, the target of this power is considered -1 Social Trait for a period of three days, and more importantly, people will generally treat them as what they have been branded with. The mystical word is not visible to mortals, but all supernaturals will clearly see it.

Advanced Ritual

This difficult but powerful ritual forges a connection between a large hewn stone and the Weeping Stone of the Lost Tribe.

Over the course of 13 nights the caster must bathe the stone in the blood of 13 cainites, each descended from a dfferent antedeluvian, and each must contribute 13 such traits of vitae and at least one of them must have tasted Zillah's Tears.  At the culmination of this ritual the caster must murder someone who loves them and annointed the stone with their life's blood.  This sacrifice cannot be a willing participant and their love for the caster must be independent of supernatural influences (Presence, blood bond, etc).

Once completed the stone will "weep" 13 traits of vitae slowly over the course of each month.  This vitae cannot be identified through magical means, and serves no purpose other than to sustain a cainite.  The vitae will pool around the stone and remains fresh until consumed.  Drinking this vitae causes the drinker to gain 1 point of Viniculum to Zillah, any other effects the vitae has are at the discretion of the storyteller but it is important to note that while the intention of this ritual is to create something similar to the Weeping Stone, this is a PC-level ritual and so is considerably less potent than the Lost Tribe's sacred fountain. 

Those with supernatural senses may percieve distant sobbing and pleading from the stone, often in the voice of the sacrificed victim.
