Greetings Council!
I just set an opinion poll up that I will be leaving open for the next 3 weeks. Please feel free to consult your players and discuss your chronicle's opinion with us.
Basically, if the desired opinion is to make a glass ceiling by the majority who take the poll, I'll get back to work on it.
Respectfully,
Nick

Rio Grande, RS - Brazil, Sobre a Areia Sempre Hostil | Abstain
Rockland, NY - USA, Under The Rock | Against Glass Ceiling
Saint Paul, MN - USA, Obsidian Towers | For Glass Ceiling | I am for this if it includes room for custom content to have strong costs for strong effects and if it allows NPC's to still do whatever ST's need them to do for story. Mt. Dora, FL - USA, Mutual Alliance | Against Glass Ceiling
Fortaleza, CE - Brazil, Land of The Sun | Against Glass Ceiling | Too vague. |
La Crosse, WI - USA, The Rivers Edge | Abstain | Others have said it better than I can |
Iowa City, IA - USA, Fields of Rage | Abstain
Cape Cod, MA - USA, Rage Across the Cape | Abstain | We would rather a longer and potentially more fruitful discussion of custom content as a concept in a shared environment, than something as vague as this. |
Berkeley, CA - USA, Wasting the Dawn | For Glass Ceiling
Stockton, CA - USA, Stockton by Night | Abstain
Milwaukee, WI - USA, Nocturnal Rapture | Abstain
Decatur, IL - USA, The Chaos Within | Against Glass Ceiling

Cedar Rapids, IA - USA, Five Nights | Against Glass Ceiling
Philadelphia, PA - USA, Nusquam | Against Glass Ceiling
Fredericksburg, VA - USA, Caine's Chosen: Liberty in Death | For Glass Ceiling | Find this poll question vague and more clear options for future proposal. |
Indianapolis, IN - USA, Stars Never Rise | For Glass Ceiling
Sorocaba, SP - Brazil, Sorocaba by Night: The Abyss Within | For Glass Ceiling
Cedar Falls, IA - USA, Blackhawk Co. by Night | Abstain
Norwalk, CT - USA, Rails of Revolution | Against Glass Ceiling
San Francisco, CA - USA, Always Comes Evening | Abstain
Providence, RI - USA, Hidden Flame | Abstain | Agreed with the comments so far in general. I'd be good with discussing some sort of formal framework, but this question is too vague to give a definite "yes" or "no" to. |
Atlanta, GA - USA, Whispers of Atlanta | Abstain | The term "glass ceiling" is difficult to interpret in this particular context. I don't think it properly implies the intent of this poll... unless this is some sort of joke. If you're looking for a limitation to custom content, that would probably be better served as a discussion on council. My general understanding is that there is a lot of mixed feelings about custom content that should probably be addressed. |
Griffin, GA - USA, Immortal Nights Theater | For Glass Ceiling
Cleveland, OH - USA, Carpe Noctum | Abstain | There's not enough information in this to discuss with our players on any sort of productive basis. |
Dayton, OH - USA, Dying Embers | Abstain
Orland Park, IL - USA, Enigmas of Rage | Against Glass Ceiling
Brasília, DF - Brazil, Pacis Aeternae | For Glass Ceiling

Madison, Wi - USA, Black Crusade | Abstain | Really need more conversation on this. These are all or nothing options. |
Cleveland, OH - USA, Heartland Alliance | For Glass Ceiling
Columbus, OH - USA, Columbus in Darkness | For Glass Ceiling | Level five disciplines can only be so powerful, so it's reasonable to conclude that there is a power level cap or "glass ceiling" for combination disciplines. Denver, CO - USA, Front Range Sabbat | For Glass Ceiling
Ouro Preto, MG - Brazil, Dying of the Light | For Glass Ceiling
Portland, ME - USA, Blackened Veins | Abstain | This question is too vague and the answers seen on council did little to address or narrow the scope. |
Lexington, KY - USA, Panders Playground | Against Glass Ceiling | Far too vague to be productive. |
Gary, IN - USA, Shattered Souls | Against Glass Ceiling | The terminology is too vague, and the discussion that has happened surrounding the question has not clarified things. |
Springfield, IL - USA, Capitol City Cauldron | Abstain | Agree with other comments. Too vague. |
Savannah, GA - USA, City of Shadows | Against Glass Ceiling | We don't need more regulation. Just stop. |
Alto Tietê, SP - Brazil, Sang Royal | For Glass Ceiling
Vale do Paraíba, SP - Brazil, Vale Sangrento | Abstain | Too vague |
Washington, DC - USA, Shadows on the Mall | Against Glass Ceiling
Kenosha, WI - USA, Memento Mori | For Glass Ceiling | Please put an end to Calvinball. While it may be fun to make up your own rules to this game, the current custom content directory has shown that most chronicles are completely disrespectful to the shared environment. |
Rio de Janeiro, RJ - Brazil, City of Wonders | Against Glass Ceiling
Green Bay, WI - USA, Shattered Dreams | Against Glass Ceiling
Athens, GA - USA, Athens After Dark | Against Glass Ceiling
Iowa City, IA - USA, L'Ange Noir | For Glass Ceiling
St. Augustine, FL - USA, On Haunted Ground | Abstain
Rohnert Park, CA - USA, Shadows Crossing | Abstain | Without proposed definitions we are unclear of the purpose of this poll and what it's asking for. |
Ann Arbor, MI - USA, Tower of Broken Glass | For Glass Ceiling
Bradenton, FL - USA, Chaos & Entropy | Abstain | I'd like to see more regulation on custom content. |
Springfield, OH - USA, Ohio Knights Sabbat | For Glass Ceiling
Edwardsville, IL - USA, Caught in Eternal Twilight | Abstain
Phoenix, AZ - USA, Unchained Arizona | Against Glass Ceiling
Chicago, IL - USA, New Moon Rising | Against Glass Ceiling
Worcester County, MA - USA, Quabbin | Abstain | The language of this poll is meaningless, as even the way OWbN uses "glass ceiling" has nothing to do with the discussion on custom content. If you want to ask if it should be further/more stringently regulated, then ask that. This is, functionally, gibberish. |
Gainesville, FL - USA, Won't Back Down | Against Glass Ceiling | in this form, I'm against. |
Vale do Itajaí, SC - Brazil, Fear of the Dark | For Glass Ceiling
Indianapolis, IN - USA, Past is Prologue | Abstain
New Rochelle, NY - USA, Seasons of Strange | Against Glass Ceiling
Amador, CA - USA, Gaia’s Call | For Glass Ceiling
Nashville, IN - USA, Tea With Dragons | Abstain | Too vague |
Bridgeport, CT - USA, Bridgeport by Night: The Broken City | Abstain
Baltimore, MD - USA, Dark Harbor | Against Glass Ceiling | Talking point is too vague. If there is a specific topic or concern, I'd suggest bringing up that specific point on Council. |
Salvador, BA - Brazil, Veritas Salvatore | For Glass Ceiling
Tampa, FL - USA, Orlando: Magic Kingdom | Against Glass Ceiling | Given the vagueness of this, I am not comfortable bringing it to my players for discussion. It doesn't define what such a glass ceiling MIGHT be for custom content. Examples of would alleviate my concern and allow me to bring it to my players for discussion. |
I am for this if it includes room for custom content to have strong costs for strong effects and if it allows NPC's to still do whatever ST's need them to do for story.
