I, Samantha Swanson, hereby propose to council the Amendment of Character Bylaw 10.e.v-vii.

Current:
  1. < >Standard True Faith - PC: Coordinator Notify - NPC: Coordinator Notify - Coordinator: Varies

True Faith 6+ - PC: Majority Vote - NPC: Coordinator Notify - Coordinator Varies

Creature Type Relevant Faith - PC: Coordinator Approval - NPC: Coordinator Approval - Coordinator: Varies

This is meant to include characters who's genre holds faith in something that may be supported by source material, but not precisely “standard” True Faith.

Egyptian Religion / Kemetism - Coordinator: Follower of Set

Telyavel for Telyavelic Tremere - Coordinator: Tremere/Sabbat

Unusual True Faith - PC: Majority Vote - NPC: Coordinator Notify - Coordinator: Varies

    1. Any appearance of True Faith in a religion that is NOT of a major, established, recognized sect. (example: True Faith in Buddha is not Regulated, but True Faith in Cthulu would be.)

-------------------------
New:

  1.   True Faith 1-5 - PC: Coordinator Notify  - NPC: Unregulated - Coordinator: Hunter
  2. True Faith 6+ - PC: Majority Vote - NPC: Coordinator Notify - Coordinator: Hunter

**Amendment 1: Changes the True Faith 6+ NPC: Coordinator Notify from Coordinator Varies to Hunter Coordinator**

**Amendment 2: Changes True Faith 1-5 to PC Coordinator Notify - Hunter. NPCs remain unregulated.**

Reasoning: With the org having established a cap of 5 for True Faith I believe that we do not need to further regulate True Faith. This organization should not be attempting to define what is  "a major established, recognized sect" and we should not tell people that their religion is not valid because it doesn't meet an individual's idea of a "major established, recognized sect". We are an organization that is here to encourage creativity and story, not tell people what is and isn't Faith. Already we have deviated from what the book has defined as valid True Faiths when a listed example is True Faith in Gaia which, by our Bylaws are considered Unusual True Faiths and need a vote.

True Faith and what it can do is 100% controlled by the staff of the chronicle it is being utilized in. We allow them to do this with no constraint beyond the recommendations in the book and therefore we should also allow them to determine if they feel that the requested True Faith is allowed within their game.

Because of this and the discussion across the ST list, I believe it is time to remove this bylaw from our Character Bylaws.
