Custom Combination Discipline / Technique

Some chronicles allow for their players to develop customized powers for their characters. The following is a compilation of player created custom content in OWBN. At this time, custom content that is created and/or used by vampire PC's is required to be listed.

Kings do not belong on the front line, nor do they belong in the sepulchre.

When the Ventrue invokes Avalon, he does not seek shelter, but claims the final right of a sovereign, one that not even death may revoke. For a brief moment, the air around him becomes ceremonial, like an audience held without witnesses. His aura settles upon his shoulders like a mantle of office, and everything that attempts to seize his essence encounters the same sensation as a servant touching the throne without permission, a vacuum of authority, an absolute “no.”

There is no scream, no exertion, only the cold reminder of where the right of possession truly resides, driving away the hands of those who dare attempt to claim it.

System: The Blessing of Avalon allows the user to apply a shield against any supernatural power whose direct purpose is to remove, tear away, displace, imprison, or destroy the user’s soul, spirit, or consciousness, including, but not limited to, Necromancy effects such as soul steal and powers of equivalent nature.
If the user loses the contest when targeted by a power that includes at least one of the effects listed above, the user may expend one permanent Willpower point or three permanent Physical Traits to invoke the Blessing of Avalon and resist the supernatural effect being used.

When activated in this way, the supernatural effect is not canceled or dispelled, but instead has its application suspended, as if it had encountered an absolute resistance of authority. The user remains immune to the effects of that power for a number of turns equal to their current permanent Willpower, already accounting for any point spent to activate the Blessing. At the end of this duration, the effect resumes its normal application, if still applicable.

Finally, if after activating the Blessing the user is targeted by other powers of the same nature and again loses the corresponding contests, the Blessing of Avalon may be used for each new effect suffered, provided the appropriate costs are paid for each new activation.
