Custom Blood Magic: Ritual

Requirements: Cat's whisker, Eyebright powder, Hand-blown clear glass sphere

 

Casting Time: 10 minutes* (Ritual is pre-cast, activation takes an action.)

 

The caster attunes the sphere to receive the reflection of a memory from a vampire by chanting while dusting the ball with eyebright powder using the cat's whisker. The sphere remains inert until activated at a later date when the caster places the eyelash of a vampire within the sphere. The memory being considered by the vampire at the time the eyelash is plucked (or lost) is imprinted upon the sphere. While flashes of the memory may reflect on the surface of the sphere, the real power is in the breaking of the sphere. When the delicate sphere is shattered between the hands of another, the shatterer experiences the memory as the vampire did. The intended purpose for this ritual is a means to share a memory with someone without having to enter his mind, but creative kindred may well find other uses. This ritual does not remove or alter the memory in question. If the memory has been previously re-written with dominate or powers affected the person to believe things happened in a different way, the sphere will reflect what they believe and not the objective truth.
