Custom Blood Magic: Ritual
Some chronicles allow for their players to develop customized powers for their characters. The following is a compilation of player created custom content in OWBN. At this time, custom content that is created and/or used by vampire PC's is required to be listed.
Basic Seidr Ritual
1) By spending time preparing each participant a drink mix of ashes, stone powder and some type of booze. The caster recounts the story of Baldr's Draumar and prepares a drink for the participants. The caster declares to the participants who the target for them that night. Upon completing the ritual, everyone drinks from their cup.
2) Static ritual challenge vs 6 with the retest being rituals.
3) Effect: +1 Defensive Retest against the Named Target.
4) Duration: Until the next sunrise
This grueling ritual takes from sunset to sunrise to complete and requires the caster to be trapped in the Astral Plane with their cord having been severed. They also require at least a small portion of the remains of their body, the ability to cast Power of the Pyramid, an assistant in the Skinlands who also possesses Power of the Pyramid, and a new body to tether their newly forged silver cord to. Vires Acquirit Eundo may not be used to modify this ritual in any way.
Papa Legba – Loa of the Crossroads/equated to St. Anthony (Patron Saint of lost things)
Papa Ghede – Samedi’s good counterpart
Baron Samedi – Loa of Resurrection
Ghede Linto – Loa who performs miracles, assists with either preparing for trouble or how to avoid it
Grand Bois, Matire Carrefour, Baron Cimetière – Triad of Magicians who represent the journey of life (rich earth that you spring from and dark woods, various roads and paths you choose to travel on, the end of the trip)
The caster must invoke each of the following Loa in turn, calling to them for their aid in reclaiming their Silver Cord and being returned to the lands of the living: Papa Legba, Papa Ghede, Ghede Linto, Grand Bois, Maitre Carrefour, Baron Cimetière, the Baron Samedi, and finally Papa Legba a second time.
The caster in the Skinlands lays out an apropriate offering to each of the Loa as they are named, forming a circle around a small pile of the primary caster’s ashes. (Tobacco and Water; a Cheap Cigar and an Apple; Rum and a lit Cigarette; Honey and Spiced Rum; Rum infused with Gunpowder; a Fine Cigar and fine Wine; Tobacco and Rum).
Once the Loa have been called to, both Casters will enact the ritual Power of the Pyramid, drawing the force of their wills together and then shifting it wholly to the caster trapped in the Astral Plane. They then forge a new silver cord by shaping the energies of the Astral Plane with the combined force of the two wills. This is passed back to the secondary Caster and is anchored to the primary Caster’s remains as the ashes are sealed into a small packet that has been blessed by those Loa who were summoned.
The packet must be placed onto the new host body within a lunar cycle or the caster’s soul becomes lost to the Abyss as the ritual fails.
Mechanics:
The ritual must be started at sunset and is completed upon sunrise and requires two participants to be successful, the one with the ritual being the caster seeking to reattach their Astral form to a body, and an assistant in the Skinlands. Both must be capable of casting the ritual Power of the Pyramid, and a portion of the remains of the caster's body are required in addition to the mundane components. In addition, the primary caster must expend two permanent traits of willpower, with the assistant expending one permanent trait of willpower.
Once the ritual is completed, they have precisely one lunar cycle to attach the newly formed silver cord to a new host body, though how the soul currently inhabiting said body is removed is an entirely different problem. Should the packet containing the caster's remains ever part company with the new body, their soul is immediately sucked into the Abyss as the ritual fails.
Prerequisite : Remote Access and Thaumaturgical sight
Blocking mundanes is easy for those with Path of Technomancy but blocking those with Remote Access or similar powers that allow someone to enter the Interwebz is another issue.
Normal firewalls and other methods just can't stop someone who can be there "in person". By combining the use of Thaumaturgical Sight and Remote access, the caster can see who is at their "watched" object.
When cast, there is an invisible "eye" that watches the protected item. Caster received a text message to whatever device he sets up during casting. This just informs the caster that something has triggered the alert. This can see all types of beings that are "in" the internet and report this to the caster.
Must spend 1 blood and 1 willpower per location along with associated mental traits for duration.
Can only have 3 locations active at any time.
Duration: by spending mentals when cast determines the duration of the spell

MET Mechanics:
The Caster of this ritual must be attuned to the building they are attempting to remove attunements from. After the caster is attuned, they must spend a number of minutes equal to the number of attunements on the building before they are able to identify and target any one attunement. Once the number of attunements is identified, the Caster must then make a series of Static Mental Challenges (Retest Occult/Metaphysics) vs Dif 15 to identify who each attunement belongs to.
Upon identifying the attunement they wish to remove, the Caster must then engage in a Static Mental Challenge (Retest Occult) versus the targets Mental Traits plus their levels of Hearth Path. They must do this challenge for each attunement they wish to remove from a building.
This ritual was a answer to a cataclysmic issue that spanned multiple generations linked together by a singularity. In hermetic lore not every problem can be solved the moment it occurs to that end some issues must be isolated and contained till such time as they dissipate or until proper counter measures can be brought to bare. With the restoration of the promise the truth of the world is reinforced and the worlds beyond this one are sharply forced apart once more. This high magic ritual is a demanding task not to be undertaken lightly. Drawing on elements and lore gained from houses Virtue, Horn society and High Saturday the ritual invokes ancient and powerful names, chief among them, David arch angel of stone and foundation, Dominic arch angel of judgement and Samiel.
Components
To enact this ritual the caster must have the aid of four other advanced students of thaumiturgical knowledge. A bound silver cord, a egg of the void, a symbol of eternal authority, a stone altar sigil carved with the keys of solomon corrisponding with the alignment of the stars and purpose of the ritual. A rieligous sanctified bowl tied to the first people of the region. All of this must be cast on a nexus point location nearest to the heart of the domain this iron curtain is to be cast on.
System:
Each caster takes one of the ritual items and takes their place at the point on the pentacle within the nexus point. When the ritual reaches its completion the barriers between worlds are greathly strengthened. To a total of the mental traits of the ritual casters. This effect blocks all realms. Umbral, Astral, Shadowlands, Etherial high and low. Up to st discretion how this effects their games. As this effect can block the use of power uses that effect said realms, or common effects of a departed spirit attempting to enter the shadowlands, or a spirit attempting to materize. (Powers possibly effected. Auspex 5, Necromancy, Obtenabration, Abysal mystisim, Spirit Manipulation, Elemental Mastery, Koldunism, and other such powers as st discretion says it affects fitting for the genre at play.
This Five minute chant allows the Thaumaturge to refresh up to five mental traits that were expended. This ritual will only restore expended mental traits not traits lost to bids or otherwise.
The caster must bury a wooden object in fertile soil with a dead fish, watering the patch daily for 6 days with a trait of his own Vitae each evening and morning. On the 7th day, the object will have turned into a seed of whatever type of wood it was, and must be dug up and found. The object will then remain a seed for one full lunar cycle (1 month) before reverting back to it's original state.
The seed may be given a single trait of Vitae from any Vampire, at which point it will return to its original state in --one round.
