[Seconded] [Proposal][Amendment] 4 July, 2018 - Line item edit of Jocastian material[Requires Second]

I, Rob Beckett, CM of Orlando: Magic Kingdom propose that the following text be edited in the Sabbat Factions Packet (2017) to remove the promise of bonus XP. 

 

"Those who first join the Jocastians as preexisting characters immediately gain a one time experience point bonus of 30 XP. Brand new characters made at the start as Jocastians gain instead an additional 100 experience point bonus. This points should be spent in knowledge based abilities and merits.

 

Additionally, New members of the Jocastians gain a recurring 2xp Bonus above the limited 8xp a month cap in OWbN. This bonus ends when the character has earned a total of 30xp in this manner. These points must as well be spent on Knowledge based abilities, backgrounds, and merits"

 

Furthermore, with the passing of this proposal, Jocastians will no longer recieve bonus XP for joining or creating a member of this group or on a semi-continuing basis as described above.

 

 

Rationale: 

It is unfair to other players in the org that Jocastians are given additional XP either upon joining, character generation or on a recurring basis. Every character is bound to each XP at a rate of 8 points maximum per month and a starting maximum of +60. 

 

Furthermore, this bonus XP is not reflected in the bylaws and any players/staffs may be subject to Disciplinary action for taking advantage of it. I understand that non-compliance in this instance is unintentional, and do not wish for people to inadvertently place themselves or their players at risk.

 

The amendment to this proposal closes the ability for Jocastians to receive bonus XP going forward at the suggestion of several council members in the companion proposal to this one.

 

 

The Malkavian Coordinator has publicly stated that they support these actions. As of the passing of http://www.owbn.net/votes/99661 on 5 July, the Malkavian Coordinator became administratively responsible for the Jocastians.
