La Crosse, WI - USA, The Rivers Edge | Against | Overall, I believe this packet is an improvement. My major issue is the only purpose of rank/rarity is to determine who has approval authority. Under this packet it is possible for a 3/5/7 to acquire 3, 4 or even 5 (character created) paths if they can garner Coord approval.I've brought this issue up with Trey but did not see any significant changes in the most recent (today!) packet. |

Promise, CA: Broken Promises | Against | For a clan that must be flexible to survive, this packet is too rigid. While no one would dispute that the Followers of Set HAVE a hierarchy, portraying and applying that hierarchy in-game should not feel like the Pyramid. The powerful Setites who are running the show from the shadows are secretive about the advanced mysteries of the clan on purpose. I think that PC Setites, even priests, DON'T know who their superiors really are until you messed up and it was too late to kowtow to the right person... Overall, it just really feels like if you play a Setite you'll spend countless hours in e-mails and contacting coords to see if you're approved to blow your nose. Snakes are flexible. |

Iowa City, IA - USA, L'Ange Noir | Against | This packet is very similar to the previous with the heavy addition of caste codification (ranking requirements, rigidity to how the castes are defined and operate). While this might be nice as ST tool, it is not how the clan plays out either in the books or in real play. Relax the heirarchy structure and the rigidity of how the castes operate, and I will vote for it. |
