I propose that Coordinator Bylaw 3/C/iii "Genre Coordinators must pass before Council any plot, enforced policy, or binding edict they wish to
use which they can reasonably expect to affect multiple chronicles and
these proposals need not be seconded, but go immediately into
discussion." be changed to:
iii) Genre Coordinators must pass before Council any enforced policy or
binding edict they wish to use which they can reasonably expect to
affect multiple chronicles and these proposals need not be seconded, but
go immediately into discussion.
This removes the "plot" notification & voting requirement. It is my
belief that this org could benefit from having Coordinator's who had
increased flexibility in coordinating global event's from a more
storytelling perspective.

Carbondale, IL, USA: Forgotten Court | Against
Paducah, KY: Edge of Chaos | Abstain
Dubuque, IA - USA, Kingdom of Ashes | Against | Until there is a greater definition of what constitutes ''plot'' we're voting this one down. I would like the Coords to have a greater hand in the Org storylines, but the Bylaw-nazis will still try to hang them until we strictly define ''plot''. |

La Crosse, WI - USA, The Rivers Edge | Against
Iowa City, IA - USA, Fields of Rage | Against | We think some better clarification as to what ''plot'' is is in order before removing it. A discussion on Coord duties might be better to have than to start stripping things from the bylaws. |
Cape Cod, MA - USA, Rage Across the Cape | Abstain
Berkeley, CA - USA, Wasting the Dawn | Against
Stockton, CA - USA, Stockton by Night | Against | Porch is a rules lawyer. Porch can see how this change can be abused. No. |
Decatur, IL - USA, The Chaos Within | For | This doesn't change the fact that Coords will still have to work with STs. Coords are still required to cc: STs on any correspondence between NPCs and PCs. And plots are VASTLY more fun if everyone doesn't know about them beforehand ..... Any ST should know that. :-P |

Dayton, OH - USA, Dying Embers | Against | checks and balances my friends, checks and balances. Coords are NOT supposed to be global ST's. |
Brasília, DF - Brazil, Pacis Aeternae | Against | There is always the possibility of an agreement between Houses and Coords to bypass this regulation. The regulation is there just for when an agreement cannot be reached. |
Macon, GA - USA, Stolen Hours | Against
Winchester, VA: Sins in the Valley | Against | I don't like the idea of a bylaw that lets Coords do pretty much anything they want with no real oversight. |
Cincinnati, OH - USA, Shadows of Cincinnati | Against | I would like to see a better way to balance the role of Coordinators. I appreciate the attempt, but think there may be a better alternative. Cincinnati, however, does not appreciate the threat made by Thicker than Blood's CM and as such is voting against this prop out of spite, rather than abstaining as originally intended. |
Columbus, OH - USA, Columbus in Darkness | Against
Portland, ME - USA, Blackened Veins | Against | I would rather clear up the roles of the Coords than to just drop 1 word from the existing and somewhat messily worded duties of the Coords. |
Gary, IN - USA, Shattered Souls | Against | Coords should work with ST Staffs and games not go above them. We are a Org of connecting games.... Coords are there to coordinate not dictate. |
Washington, DC - USA, Shadows on the Mall | Against
Kenosha, WI - USA, Memento Mori | Against
Green Bay, WI - USA, Shattered Dreams | Against | Not every chronicle will be open to a plot thrown out by a Coord. |
New Orleans, LA - USA, Long Night | Against | Plot, just as policies and edicts have a potential to disrupt the efforts of other coords as well as chronicles, in order to put forth a cooperative effort, even plots, especially those intended to effect several chronicles need to remain vote worthy |
Gimli, MB - Canada, Sang Nordique | Against
Iowa City, IA - USA, L'Ange Noir | Abstain
St. Augustine, FL - USA, On Haunted Ground | For | Give me Plots! |
Northern Virginia, VA - USA, Night Falls | Against | We need checks & balances. Just because one person has a ''great idea'' does not necessarily make it a great idea for the entire org. Coords can be wrong too. |
Annapolis, MD - USA, Vitae Aeternus | Against
Edwardsville, IL - USA, Caught in Eternal Twilight | Abstain | due to a general lack fo definitions of relevant terms in teh bylaws, i don't think that would change anything. . ._Cole |
Baltimore, MD - USA, Dark Harbor | Against
AHC 1 | Abstain | Caught in Eternal Twilight summed up my thoughts nicely. I'm not so sure this changes much of anything, and I think it could be accomplished in another way if we just take some time to consider some more options. I'm all for empowering our Coordinators to make fun for our players, but I want to do it right the first time. Jenn, AHC. |
Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | Is it really that hard to put a notification or vote up as a coord? Really if coords stop whining about how they are powerless and actually use the tools currently available to them, they can do their job. Coord are NOT super STs. They do not get to shove plot down my games throat, they do not have the power to at whim kill my pcs. They wish to do such they prop a vote and carry forward with it. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | Philadelphia Garou has stated in a nutshell what our players have decided. We would prefer to see the word ''plot'' left in the bylaws, but have definitions of what constitutes ''plot'' for these purposes. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | Agreeing that it would be best to define what is 'plot' before removing it entirely from the Bylaw. Otherwise I could just see this be a huge problem down the line. |

Reclamation | Against | I would much rather define plot than remove it from the bylaw. Is a conversation between a Co-ord level NPC and a PC (or PC's) a plot? Nope. It's a conversation. I don't want to know every time a Co-ord tries to enforce genre by conversation, or even by encouraging PC's to take actions. Do I want to know if Rorg is throwing asteroids at Gaia? Yeah, that seems kinda important. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | Changing vote to 'against' moreso because I agree that I'd like to see 'plot' defined more clearly. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | Although we originally voted -for- this bylaw, and even seconded it, Sean Marshall and his game brought forth a better idea. Why don't we stop and take the time to define 'plot' for the purposes of bylaw? |
