Proposal Type: Bylaw Revision
Opened: 25-Nov-2002 1:00AM EST
Closing: 26-Nov-2002 1:00AM EST
I propose that all the candidates for the AHC and AHC2 positions be listed on both the AHC and AHC2 votes.
I also propose that the discussion period be waived for this vote, or that the AHC position vote closure is delayed until a week after this vote is closed if successful.
-Blair Heiserman
Carpe Noctum HST/CM
Cleveland, Ohio
Notes:
1. Discussion for this vote will be one day long, so as not to hamper elections more than necessary
2. The AHC and AHC2 votes will not close until this vote is concluded.
3. If this vote is successful, both votes will be withdrawn, and the new votes posted.

St. Petersburg, FL - USA, Faces of Change | Abstain | Saint Petersburg really doesn't care. This subject has done more harm then any good that can come from it. |
Saint Paul, MN - USA, Obsidian Towers | Against
Stockton, CA - USA, Stockton by Night | Against
Milwaukee, WI - USA, Nocturnal Rapture | Abstain | Since carmine pulled out not much point anymore, we only have two canidates |
Tampa, FL - USA, Tampa Bay by Night | Abstain
Chicago, IL - USA, Dark Requiem | Against | It does not matter now with Carmien stepping down. |
Fredericksburg, VA - USA, Caine's Chosen: Liberty in Death | Against | Changing in mid stream sets a bad precedent. To much heart ache has been spilt over this. Lets wait and rethink this and how we want it done. Then change what needs to be changed. |
Winona, MN - USA, Winona Dark Haven | Against
Norwalk, CT - USA, Rails of Revolution | Abstain | Pointless vote with Camien haveing withdrawn... |

Cincinnati, OH - USA, Shadows of Cincinnati | Against | Stupid idea, poorly executed |
Columbus, OH - USA, Columbus in Darkness | Abstain | with carmien stepping out it's almost futile |
Springfield, IL - USA, Capitol City Cauldron | For | Should have been executed earlier, but that's not a reason to vote against it. |

Phoenix, AZ - USA, Secundus Surrectum | Abstain
Kenosha, WI - USA, Memento Mori | Against

Northern Virginia, VA - USA, Night Falls | Against | Even had Carmien not withdrawn changing the terms of the election midvote is ridiculous. If you don't like the candidate(s) select ''reject all'', otherwise let it be. Change things after the election. I think this link pretty much sums up my feelings. |
Annapolis, MD - USA, Vitae Aeternus | Abstain
Edwardsville, IL - USA, Caught in Eternal Twilight | For | We have what appears to be a flawed election process for the position of AHC, and this proposal moves to change that process for the better. |
Head Coord | Against | I stated my reasoning on Council and ST lists, and I have not changed my mind. If Council wishes a new procedure for this, it should be fixed in the bylaws for all future votes--not in one already in progress as a one-time thing. |
Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | The logical step would seem to be to put ALL the candidates on one ballot and vote Yes or No for each one. Whoever have the highest net YES votes at the end would be the two AHCs. Without trying to antagonise anyone in particular, I can see why the Florida thing went down now. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | For | While it may not matter with this election if people pull out, I still think that the vote should be pooled taking the best two. That way canidates are not lost due to how they are matched up on the ballet. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | Though I think that having one ballot for both AHC positions is a good thing, changing it mid way through the election is bad voodoo. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | I'm against this on principle, even if it is useless now if Carmien's decision is final. I'd be for it if it were a permanent change, and not during an election. But I cannot agree to change the rules in the middle of the election. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | I think it is bad form to change the rules and guidline of a vote when it is in progress.I also think it is a shame and sad state of affairs that someone whom seems to have done nothing wrong has desiced to pull out of an election do to what seems to be mean bitter mud rakers. |
