Proposal Type: Bylaw Revision
Opened: 26-May-2010 1:00AM EDT
Closing: 27-May-2010 1:00AM EDT
We feel that if STs are to be responsible for their players, they must have access to the information that those players are giving out and receiving. Therefore, we propose the following be added as section 9.C.iii. in the Administrative Bylaws:
---------
9.C.iii. Any mailing list, forum, newsgroup, or other form of IC communication must allow membership for the storytellers of any character who is a member of the list/group. Such access may be designated 'read only' at the discretion of the moderator of the list/group. Information and communications from any group that does not meet these criteria shall be considered invalid for use in OWBN.Buy Kicks2020 Release Air Jordan 1 High OG "Dark Mocha" 555088-105

Cape Cod, MA - USA, Rage Across the Cape | For: For the change to the bylaws | STs should be allowed on IC lists. Coords should trust STs. Forcing them to allow access won't encourage anyone to trust anyone. |

Milwaukee, WI - USA, Nocturnal Rapture | For: For the change to the bylaws | |
Tampa by Night: Tampa Sabbat | For: For the change to the bylaws | STs should moderate information leaving their game more then anything else. A simple CC on every email makes sure that all info leaving the chronicle is OK, what enters is up to the other games staff. No need for STs to be on every list just to moderate one or two PCs. |
Evansville, IN - USA, Paradise Lost | For: For the change to the bylaws | |
Florianópolis, SC: Igni et Moriaris | For: For the change to the bylaws | STs should be allowed the choice to be on the lists. It´s not a matter of control, but a matter of choice. It won´t be any harder for the lists to have a few more emails on it and it will be far more easier for sts to check info. Players can´t see the big picture and will eventually forward only what they THINK that matters, as they can´t see it all. It´s about choice and we should be able to choose. Also, the main argument that we heard from a coord about this was that STs CHEATS, meaning that at least that coord don´t trust in STs. |
João Pessoa, PB - Brazil, Eternal Shadows | For: For the change to the bylaws | Let the STs chose if they prefer to be on it or just get CC... Is a matter of giving them the tools to do their job the best way they think |
Duluth, MN - USA, Thicker than Blood | For: For the change to the bylaws | As much as there are some lists I wanted to be on as an ST and were told no, I am really against this. Players should be able to CC their STs or forward anything from a list to ensure accuracy, |
Philadelphia, PA - USA, Nusquam | For: For the change to the bylaws | |
Chicago, IL - USA, Dark Requiem | For: For the change to the bylaws | It's an option, not a requirement. Choice is a good thing. |

Jerusalem - Israel, Last Crusade | For: For the change to the bylaws | RiverShadow - This is a tool for STs to make the game better for their players by allowing them a way to know what the player know, not only what he is going to use, doing so will allow them to help and create the feeling of one big world when what happens in other domains effects him. |
Fargo, ND - USA, Within Shadow's Reach | For: For the change to the bylaws | This is a good idea on the national level. Locally however we are against other ST's with any access to our games local list. Our game provides chronicle reports, and doesn't need other ST's babysitting their players on our list. |

Phoenix, AZ - USA, Secundus Surrectum | For: For the change to the bylaws | |
Amador, CA - USA, River of Shadows | For: For the change to the bylaws | If a player doesn't cc their ST's ANY knowledge they want to know that is odd, that can qualify as lore, they don't have it. It is the player's job to maintain a list of things they know, not anyone else's. There are many ways to learn weird stuff in game.. plot, lists, other PC's, etc. Why not have players keep a stamped ''sheet of knowledge'' on the more odd things they have heard? That might solve a lot of issues. It is hard enough to remember all the stuff you heard IC and with what, your pc or your NPC? Why add more crap to the pot? |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | For: For the change to the bylaws | I really do not see the problem of an ST monitor the actions of your PC, since that action monitoring can help develop many plots and much enrich the game. |

Reclamation | For: For the change to the bylaws | It seems odd that the mentors, elders, and sires have to get the information second hand that the PCs are talking about. The only answer I can come up with is that select co-ords don't want the St's playing informed elders. |
SaoPauloBN | For: For the change to the bylaws | Players should be responsible for justifiyng any information obtained IC, list moderators should be responsible for maintenance of any list rules, both fowarding any related mail to the STs |
