Proposal Type: Bylaw Revision
Opened: 08-Oct-2001 1:00AM EDT
Closing: 15-Oct-2001 1:00AM EDT
Proposed:
That Independent clans, to be defined as Assamites, Ravnos, and Setites, could better be served by an Independent Clan Coordinator, as opposed to several different coordinators. This would not include the Giovanni or the Gangrel, who are very large populations and need their own coordinators.

New York City, NY - USA, Kings of New York | Against | I really think this puts too much in one place. However, I agree that other genres should get more support. |
Milwaukee, WI - USA, Nocturnal Rapture | Against | Fucks NO, burn out city |
Tampa, FL - USA, Tampa Bay by Night | Against | Each clan should most definetely have their own coords. Maybe not Ravnos as much, but definetely Setites' and Ravnos' |

Cleveland, OH - USA, Carpe Noctum | Against | I think that the intent is well placed, but that the seperate clans need their own coords, there is too much material to be covered. Communications issues would still be extant within sub-coords as much as it would be among normal coords.... |
Cincinnati, OH - USA, Shadows of Cincinnati | Abstain | The intentions behind this proposal are Golden, we need to work on the organization of the positions and get some actual job descriptions before we move on something like this. |
Columbus, OH - USA, Columbus in Darkness | Against
Iowa City, IA - USA, L'Ange Noir | Against
Northern Virginia, VA - USA, Night Falls | Against | Too much to put on one plate |
Annapolis, MD - USA, Vitae Aeternus | Abstain
AHC 1 | For | This position would cover about half of what the other Vampire genre coordinators cover, in terms of people. If we are going to have a clan coordinator for every clan, then we also need one for every tribe of Garou, a Changeling coordinator, because we should not be One Vampire by Night. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | For | I think that this could work like Garou, with a central office, and then sub coords, or in our case trible narrators to take care of the individual clans. I see this as taking a load off of the Head Coord, as it is a central house collecting stuff from subs. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | Hell NO! OUt of curiosity? Who in their right mind would even volounteer for that job? Even if you had sub-coords...there will come a time when someone will want to hear from the Head coord...YOU wanna know all the ins, outs and specifcs of ALL said Clans? Sounds like A GREAT way to get burnt to me. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | Limiting the number of Coordinators is good in theory, but this isn't the way to do it. Perhaps having a Coordinator be tied to having significant numbers of characters in the area of coordination (significant being defined however it seems best to define it) or a high complexity (with high being defined however it seems best to define it) would be the way to go, and any area without that number or complexity doesn't get a Coordinator would be the way to go. But combining these three Clans under one Coordinator? The only way I can see it working well is if the Coordinator appointed subCos to coordinate two of the three Clans and coordinating the third on his/her own, and then why not just have 3 Coordinators? If a Coordinator seems to have nothing to Coordinate, then we can look at eliminating the position as necessary. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | Since Assamites have just been offered probationary sectmembership into the Camarilla, they are a much more viable character option than before. They should have a coord available to them. In response to the AHC, why not do what we have done for the Garou, and have a Vampire coord and then subcoords off of that office. Otherwise we are still One Vampire(Camarilla) by Night. |
