[OBJECTION] [BYLAW REVISION] Adding Time Frame to VNC
Open Votes
THIS PROPOSAL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO AUTOPASS
I, Chase Jelliffe, as Assistant Head Coordinator 1, hereby propose the following changes to the Administrative Bylaws:
4.e Before:
e. Vote of No Confidence
i. OWBN Coordinators may be removed from Office before their term has finished. This is done via a council proposal titled Vote of No Confidence for the coordinator in the subject line of the email by a member OWbN Council, Executive Team, or Mediation Team.
iii. The proposal containing this action against an elected Coordinator must pass with the most votes to remove them. The Head Coordinator is obligated to use his or her vote to break the tie, if necessary.
iv. Upon ratification of the removal, the member will no longer serve OWBN in the previously held position unless and until they are reelected.
4.e After:
e. Vote of No Confidence (VNC)
i. OWBN Coordinators may be removed from Office before their term has finished. This is done via a council proposal titled Vote of No Confidence (or VNC) for the coordinator in the subject line of the email by a member OWbN Council, Executive Team, or Mediation Team.
iii. The proposal containing this action against an elected Coordinator must pass with the most votes to remove them. The Head Coordinator is obligated to use his or her vote to break the tie, if necessary.
iv. Upon ratification of the removal, the member will no longer serve OWBN in the previously held position and a ranked vote will occur for one week to determine the length of time they are unable to run for the position. The vote will consist of the following options:
-
Until the next Special or General Election for the position
-
6 months
-
1 year
-
2 years
-
Indefinite (until a proposal passes to remove the VNC)
Reasoning: Multiple requests to add a time frame to a VNC. Different situations call for a different severity of time as determined by Council.
