I, Adam Sartori, in my Duties as Sabbat Coordinator of One World by Night propose the following Packet for the Sabbat Genre.

3.C.iii.Genre Coordinators must pass before Council any plot, R&U bylaw revision, R&U named characters, Coordinator-NPC Character Resurrections, territory requests, in character enforced policy, or in character binding edict they wish to use which they can reasonably expect to affect multiple chronicles and these proposals need not be seconded, but go immediately into discussion.

Happy Halloween!

Adam!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!! Ok..hold on hear me out...there's a method to my madness here.  Let me explain my goals with this packet.

1. After this passes (here's hoping), I can pull all the Blood Magic out of the Sabbat Faction Packet (80% of the stuff in this Packet is just from the current Sabbat Faction Packet) and propose an update to that packet as well.  This provides the PCs with these blood magics to not have to shift through a 140 page packet for their stuff AND will make that packet smaller (which I think is a win).
2. The original versions of both Bacaban and Judicum Thaumaturgy come from over a decade ago..and times they have changed.  Bacaban was created on the foundation of the very real Maya Religion and Judicucim had a lot of ties to real christianity.  This packet generally overhauls both, theoretically speaking. I removed a LOT of the real world religion stuff that might offend some people and replaced it with more fictional Sabbat thematic flavors and ways it's practiced. I think this is a better route to go personally!

So what's the other big changes?

I did add some new paths and rituals to help fill out the themes and moods of these changes to the sabbat blood magics.  It's not a lot, (like 1 path and 5 rituals) which would be Sabbat Coord Approval anyways for any PC that asked for it right now If I wanted to.

The other big change is a refocus on Sabbat Themes and expansion on WHO can get Sabbat Thaum,

But Adam MORE SABBAT MAGIC!!!??

Ok sorta..but not really...hear me out.

Yes, my idea is to expand WHO can get Sabbat Themed Blood Magic. For two major reasons/thoughts.

1. To encourage Sabbat PCs to pursue Sabbat Themed magic for the genre and less other blood magic paradigms that aren't specific to sabbat themes.  Not that is a bad thing, and you still can if you really want, but prolly not getting the Sabbat Thaum in this packet if you do.
2.  This is for smaller PCs in the org who don't have any blood magic, and don't really know how to go about it in general.

So how do I accomplish this?

I deregulated these paradigms to Storyteller Approval FOR VERY SPECIFIC CASES.  A couple of things I want to highlight

1. While the Blood Magic is ST approval for Nomad Pack positions and Coven Clergy...thats just the approval.  The Paths and Rituals still follow the rarity chart
2, IF they get a second paradigm, you will now need Sabbat Coord Approval to keep what you got.  Which, for me, will be a serious discussion as to a good reason why they should keep it...since my goal is a tool for games and smaller sabbat pcs to deal with less owbn bureaucracy.

This really isn't designed in concept for like Koldun PCs or Assamite Anti Sorcerers, or Serpents of the Light etc.  Its for the little guy who wants to be more Sabbat thematic with their pc with some cool tricks!

That's my theory and goal anyways, I think it's a good one.

Also, I made specific Sabbat NPCs with these blood magics unregulated, so Storytellers can have more tools for their games without needing my approval!  Go forth STs, have fun and tell stories!

I'm giving tools to games and Storytellers to do what's best for their game and have to deal with less bureaucracy of the org.  Let's be kinda honest here (least for me), does anyone actually care about a 300 point PC having Path of Blood or Movement of the Mind at this point ::stares at custom content database::?  Maybe, that's a me thing, but that's why we vote!

I will NOTE, read the Packet before just giving ST approval!  There are In character steps that have to be taken and In Character repercussions that CAN happen if you don't.  I figured police this more IC than ooc.

Also just to be clear, as not like a threat or anything (OMG please don't take it as that, im not going to), I just want to be clear on org bylaws and coord powers etc.  The Sabbat CXoord can currently just approve anyone they like for these magics.  SO I could, in theory (again not a threat here...) just start approving these.  However, I will follow the will of the council. I just wanted to mention it.

So take a look, let me know what you all think.  If you have questions I am happy to answer them.  It's a lot of increase in fluff and the way we are going to handle existing stuff and NOT a lot of new mechanics and powerz.

Thanks,
