I, Todd Rix, in my duties as Demon Coordinator of One World by Night propose the 2025 Demon & Infernalism Genre packet pursuant to Coordinator bylaw 3.C.iii:
3.C.iii.Genre Coordinators must pass before Council any plot, R&U bylaw revision, R&U named characters, Coordinator-NPC Character Resurrections, territory requests, in character enforced policy, or in character binding edict they wish to use which they can reasonably expect to affect multiple chronicles and these proposals need not be seconded, but go immediately into discussion.
This packet is a combination of a few different things that I initially wanted to be separate, but as I worked on it I realized it was just better to put everything in one place. So, this includes:
A “Monster Manual” of sorts, as requested by both council and various STs. This covers a few variety of demons, as well as their infernal worshippers.
A Genre Guide for STs outlining how to run different types of demons, what actually counts as a demon, and how different types vary. This packet also serves to outline some aspects of Demon genre put forth in some of the newer Baali material - mainly, Children of the Outer Dark.
An index of Infernal Investments and mechanics, for STs to create and run infernal thralls and diabolists. You may notice Dark Thaum is missing from this packet; this is intentional, as there will be a separate Dark Thaum packet coming Soon (TM)
There aren’t a lot of mechanical changes here, if there are any at all. Really, this simply aims to give Storytellers a way to stories involving Demons and Infernalists in a way that is consistent with each other.
Mechanically, this covers: Earthbound rules; Investments & Soul Points; The infernal Disciplines Strigia and Maleficia; Cult Background for non-Fallen.
