[BYLAW REVISION] Addition to OWBN Admin Bylaws RE Weapons

1. I, Adam Sartori, CM for Kings of New York propose the following addition to the OWBN Administrative bylaws:
   14. Weapons: No member of OWBN is allowed to carry or bring any sort of real-world weapon into our gaming space. This includes firearms, electronic dart gun, electronic stun gun, switchblade knife, pilum ballistic knife, metal knuckle knife, cane sword, billy, blackjack, bludgeon, plastic knuckles, metal knuckles, chuka stick, sand bag, sandclub, wrist-brace type slingshot or slungshot, shuriken, or throwing star. Personal Pocket or Utility knives should be discouraged but are exempt from this rule as needed. These weapons are not allowed in a gaming site of an OWBN Game or During Hours that game may be running. Weapons kept in one's Vehicle remain their own personal property. Violations of this rule will result in immediate disciplinary action.

This is a core rule from all of the MET books. One’s weapons should not be around during the game. I have heard tales and knew some a few years back who would bring their Pistols to game and concealed during game play (they no longer play in OWBN). I myself, am a licensed Concealed Carrier permit holder, and have never brought my firearm to game nor saw any reason to do so. When Kings of New York played live in New York, we have New York City Police officers who played our game and actually were required to carry their service pistol with them, they choose not to and instead kept it in their car outside of the game. If they don’t NEED to have their gun on them during game…no one does.
