[Proposal][Bylaw Amendment] Character bylaw 7.b.ii.1. Custom Content [Amended]
Open Votes
I, Danielle Frink, as Head Coordinator, propose the following changes to the OWBN character bylaws regarding custom content.
This may be shared with players.
Reasoning: Currently combination disciplines/merits/etc. do not require coordinator approval if they utilize thaumaturgy or other types of blood magic as a required component. We feel that these should have the appropriate coordinator's oversight.
Legacy: Disallowed
Reasoning:
-
Currently custom content that utilizes Hermetic thaumaturgy as a component does not require Coordinator approval.
-
There are documented and currently logged combination powers that duplicate Countermagic in the custom content database that have not been approved by Coordinators. This was a discussion on the Coordinator list as being a problem, as we felt it should be at least Coordinator approved.
Character bylaw 7.b.ii.1. Custom Content
Current:
7. Combination Disciplines and/or Techniques which require a component of either Blood Magic or a clan-specific Discipline also requires Notification to the Coordinator responsible for the Blood Magic paradigm or clan-specific Discipline.
ii. Disciplines, Combination Disciplines, Discipline Techniques, and Merits that give access to abilities that mimic supernatural powers (published merits that give mechanical advantages are not considered mimicking powers) requires Notification to the Coordinator responsible for the Clan/Discipline/Genre of the character creating the custom content unless otherwise specified below:
