First on the docket of changes to help the Coords - adding another Archivist position!
As Head Coordinator, I, Danielle Frink, propose the following change to Coordinator Bylaw 2.A.iii.:
2. Appointed Coordinator Positions
A. The following Coordinator positions shall be appointed by the Head Coordinator as needed until such time as the Council feels the genre requires an elected Coordinator position:
i. Kuei-Jin
ii.Web Coordinator
iii. Archivists (2 positions)
iv. Historian
v. Hunter
vi. Hengeyokai
2. Appointed Coordinator Positions
A. The following Coordinator positions shall be appointed by the Head Coordinator as needed until such time as the Council feels the genre requires an elected Coordinator position:
i. Kuei-Jin
ii.Web Coordinator
iii. Archivists (3 positions)
iv. Historian
v. Hunter
vi. Hengeyokai
Reasoning: We used to have 3 Archivists. In 2014, when we transitioned over to the new website, we decided to remove the third position (see that prop here:
http://www.owbn.net/votes/81620). Since that time, we have added a LOT of things to the R&U bylaws and duties of the Archivists. The past year has particularly difficult for their team, and they need help. There is enough extra volume to justify a third Archivist position, so let's help them out.
If this prop passes, I will accept personal applications via email from anyone interested in the new position, and choose a volunteer who will work well with Mark and Ann. I'd do the whole full application thing again, but I'd like to let the web team get back to focusing on their other duties - for this, emails should suffice.
