[Protean 4, Quietus 4, Fortitude 4 and Heart of the Master I]
Cost: 10 exp
A combination discipline for master craftspersons.
Description: Having learned to place a piece of themselves into a weapon (Heart of the Master I), this next level of Heart the Heart of Master takes it a step further by turning a piece of themselves into a weapon. This weapon is made of a fortitude hardened mixture of bone, keratin, that somewhat resembles a shiny off white colored substance made more deadly by the addition of Quietus.
Mechanics: The crafter places their hands (or other appendages) together, over the course of three rounds vitae seeps from the hand and is transformed into a crafts five weapon.
The vitae is completely transformed during the process, the new substances are no longer considered vitae. As such no bonds can be formed from the new substances. All normal conditions of Quietus apply. At sunrise, the item will turn to ash.
By expanding one willpower and: for one trait of blood spent, a dagger sized object is made, for two traits of blood a short sword sized object is produced, for a three a long sword or shield sized object. The cost(s) of Quietus are in addition to this base cost.
Items stats as follows: normally as described in Dark Epics + applicable bonuses from the crafts rating + special abilities conferred by Quietus per LotN. Items created from this discipline are significantly lighter as well as a bit more durable and more flexible than those made of steel.
Only one or zero Quietus effects can be added to one weapon at a time, in addition all of the other normal limitations apply. If “Silence of Death” is chosen, it is centered on the weapon not the caster. Items created do not have to be weapons, so long as the crafter has sufficient knowledge to implement the item being “printed”. While crafting the object, the crafter suffers from the mental trait, oblivious.
