Custom Combination Discipline / Technique

Description: No longer content to simply sway the emotions of the common throng, you have learned to ply your mastery of Demention to unlock the barriers that hold back the innate madness of people.  You are a storm crow of the mad and before your presence the insane are powerless to hide behind their finely constructed charades of sanity.  A beacon of enlightenment in a fake, false world.

 

Mechanics: By expending a Willpower trait, you are able to exert the power for the duration of a scene or an hour.  The power affects everyone within 10 feet of the user provided victims can see or otherwise are aware of the user's presence.  Blindness offers no defense.  While under the effects of the power any non-active derangement the victim possesses become active.  This power has no affect on active derangement's.  Likewise, the power does not bestow any derangement's as it only activates non-active derangement's.  Therefore this power has no affect on characters with no derangement's.

 

People under the affects of the power may resist activated derangement using the normal rules for suppressing derangement as per Laws of the Night Revised pg 212.  Generally this being one Willpower trait expended to resist a one active derangement.  The user of this power is not affected by it, though they themselves may be quite mad and not showing it at the time.  Unlike Majesty, the user of the power is not readily obvious.  Nor is the user of the power under any special protections from the people around them.  Also of note, is that the user of the power does not gain sudden insight into the derangement victims may be manifesting though observation and user of certain abilities may allow them to discover the derangement being expressed.

 

Restriction:  This power is a custom created combination discipline.  It is NOT available to be taught and cannot be taught.  This restriction may be removed if, at the discretion of the OWbN Malkdavian Coordinator, he wishes to make this combination discipline part of any existing Malkvaian Genre Packet.  At this point, the power becomes part of the cannon for the genre of OWbN.
