Custom Blood Magic: Path
Some chronicles allow for their players to develop customized powers for their characters. The following is a compilation of player created custom content in OWBN. At this time, custom content that is created and/or used by vampire PC's is required to be listed.
Level 1: Gravitic Redistribution
Spend 1 Blood and choose a number of Melee Weapons you can see equal to your levels in the Occult Ability. For each of those weapons, you may either add the Negative Trait: Heavy for the remainder of the scene or remove the Negative Trait: Heavy for the scene. A single weapon can only be affected by one instance of Gravitic Redistribution at a time. Furthermore, if you activate this ability more than once in a scene, the weapons targeted are affected instead of those previously targeted rather than in addition to them.
Level 2: Microsingularity
Spend 1 Blood. For a number of rounds equal to your levels in the Occult Ability, you are surrounded by potent gravitational anomalies that render ranged attacks much less effective against them. You and all subjects - friend or foe - within 10 feet of you gain a free retest against all physical ranged attacks targeting them. Those inside the area of effect suffer no penalty when shooting targets outside of it. A character protected by this power can only use one such retest per attack, regardless of how many Thaumaturges are using this power in close proximity to one another.
Level 3: Crushing Force
Spend 1 blood and make a Mental Challenge (retest Occult) against a target's Physical Traits, which can be retested with Athletics. If successful, the target gains the Negative Physical Trait 'Clumsy' for as long as this power is maintained.
Each round you may spend an action to maintain the effect at no additional Blood Cost. Each round you do so, you may attempt another Mental Challenge as detailed above. If successful, the target gains an additional 'Clumsy', but if you fail the power automatically breaks. No more than five 'Clumsy' traits can be applied by this power. A single target may only be affected by one instance of Crushing Force at a time, and you can only affect one target with Crushing Force at a time. If you do not spend an action to maintain the effect in a round, the effect stops at the end of that round.
Level 4: Hypergravity Field
Spend 1 blood. For the rest of the scene, you may invoke one of the following two effects:
1 - The movement speed of all subjects other than you within 30 feet of you is cut in half, rounded up.
2 - Subjects other than you are unable to fly by any means within 30 feet of you.
You may dismiss this effect reflexively at any time. If you wish to change from one effect to another, this requires a separate activation. You cannot activate this power twice and maintain both effects at once. Furthermore, multiple instances of this power intersecting are not cumulative, and the effect chosen defaults to the most recently activated instance of this power.
Level 5: Event Horizon
By spending 2 Blood and 1 Willpower, the Thaumaturge makes a small, immobile Black Hole anywhere within line of sight. For the rest of the scene, or until you dismiss the power, everything other than you within 30 feet of the Black Hole is dragged towards it with incredible force, moving 3 steps (9 feet) towards it at the end of each round of combat, after celerity actions.
Anyone touching the Black Hole at the end of the Thaumaturge's turn automatically takes 2 levels of Lethal damage that cannot be reduced or altered by any means, including (but not limited to) the Fortitude Power Resistance, the Visceratika power Armor of Terra, and items that reduce incoming damage taken. This damage can only be negated by powers such as Aegis that nullify the effects of an attack in its entirety.
The damage caused by Event Horizon is widespread and indiscriminate, affecting everything within its area of effect from small objects to vehicles to buildings. The environmental damage of this power is up to the storyteller, though the structural damage to buildings should be roughly equivalent to that caused by a mid-level earthquake.
You can only use Event Horizon to summon one Black Hole at a time. Furthermore, if the effect radius of Event Horizon touches the effect radius of another instance of this power, both Black Holes immediately collapse.
