Introduction and Background:
Hello, my name is Benjamin Normandie.
Some of you may know me as the person who occasionally misplaces characters or speaks a bit too bluntly — both observations have some truth to them. I tend to be direct and impulsive, but also open, considerate, and willing to listen. While I’m not always the most socially graceful, I value honesty, empathy, and clear communication. I try to give my time and support freely, even when it costs me a little. Above all, I aim to be genuine and consistent in who I am. I plan on giving everything I am to the players of this genre. (Within reason. ;) )

Alguns de vocês podem me conhecer como a pessoa que ocasionalmente perde personagens ou fala um pouco demais — ambas as observações têm um pouco de verdade. Costumo ser direto e impulsivo, mas também aberto, considerado e disposto a ouvir. Embora nem sempre seja o mais gracioso socialmente, valorizo a honestidade, empatia e comunicação clara. Tento oferecer meu tempo e apoio de forma gratuita, mesmo que isso me custe um pouco. Acima de tudo, procuro ser autêntico e consistente com quem sou. Planejo entregar tudo que sou aos jogadores deste gênero. (Dentro do razoável. ; ) )
Administrative Experience:
I have served as a storyteller in multiple games over the past six years. Tower of Broken Glass, Unchained Arizona, and Truth or Consequence are a few of the games I've staffed for, and that includes HSTing one event game. I have also narrated on several occasions, generally favoring one-on-one or small-group interactions that allow me to tailor experiences to individual players. This will be my first time holding a national-level position within OWBN, however, I am confident in my ability to remain prepared, organized, and present for players in my role as a coordinator.
I am supported by a team of sub-coordinators whom I’ve specifically picked out. Their experience complements my own, and I am both willing and able to rely on their expertise to help provide a high-quality experience for the players. Most of the team have volunteered as part of other Coordinator teams in the past with great success. These individuals are specially knowledgeable experts in the fields in which I will lean on and utilize in full. These include, but are not limited to, Vodun practice, administrative work, and religious doctrine.

Tenho atuado como contador de histórias em vários jogos nos últimos seis anos. Tower of Broken Glass, Unchained Arizona e Truth or Consequence são alguns dos jogos nos quais trabalhei, incluindo a realização de um evento em HST. Também narrei em várias ocasiões, geralmente preferindo interações um a um ou em pequenos grupos que me permitem adaptar experiências para jogadores individuais. Esta será minha primeira vez ocupando uma posição de nível nacional dentro do OWBN, porém, estou confiante na minha capacidade de permanecer preparado, organizado e presente para os jogadores em meu papel como coordenador. Personal Statement:
I want to emphasize my commitment to being present and responsive as a coordinator. Where my experience may be limited, I compensate with attentiveness, reliability, and prompt communication. I also plan on leveraging the other team members by delegating certain areas of which those members are experts in.
ultimately, I want to be the coordinator because the same handful of people have been doing this job in the hot seat and in the slightly less hot seats for a long time, and new blood into the office is what players have made noises about wanting. I'm willing to, and have the time to commit, to being that new blood.

Quero enfatizar meu compromisso de estar presente e ser responsivo como coordenador. Onde minha experiência pode ser limitada, compensation com atenção, confiabilidade e comunicação rápida. Também pretendo aproveitar os outros membros da equipe delegando certas áreas nas quais esses membros são especialistas.
Por fim, quero ser o coordenador porque o mesmo grupo de pessoas tem feito esse trabalho na posição de destaque e em posições um pouco menos importantes por muito tempo, e a novidade na equipe é algo que os envolvidos têm demonstrado interesse. Estou disposto, e tenho tempo para me dedicar, a ser essa nova energia.
Goals:
My goals as a Setite Coordinator are to provide more interactive plot opportunities for the player base and to encourage increased activity within the genre. I plan to accomplish this by introducing more religious gatherings and fostering the sense of community that the genre is intended to cultivate. The below are more specifics on how this will be accomplished:
Follower religious holidays have not garnered the interaction and attention befitting the devout, and this is one area in particular that I look forward to revitalizing. Further emphasis should be put on the importance of holidays during these times of the year with the possibility of Setite specific events focused around these times. These holidays will be added to the packet with the potential for benefits to certain thaumaturgical Paths or the other benefits of the various castes for those holidays.
Grammatical and formatting edits to the several Packets need to be made at this time. Consistency needs to be better incorporated with a higher degree of clarity for players going over the packets. A review of thaumaturgical Paths such as Path of the Du’at is also to take place with respect to genre adherence.
Conducting a census for the various individual practices among all Setites, whether Theophidian, Damballahn, those among the Afro-Carribean practices, and all others. This will help gauge where focus needs to be directed towards and where it may have been missed. This will also help carve out niches, with an emphasis for RP purposes, for specific thaumaturgical Paths related to these practices as well (with appropriate consideration from council). The census will help prioritize these efforts. An example question: "Vodou census: what lwa do your PC serve/if your PC is a Houngan or Mambo who initiated them and would they be open to other PCs in their spiritual lineage?”
Help define a niche for Setites to fill within OWBN. There have been many opinions in-character such as “What defines the difference between a Setite and a Baali?” Care will be taken to help provide players with a better structured effort to shape perceptions about the clan and its bloodlines. With the prevalence of other items in OWBN that Setites have typically been the sole providers of (alcohol via Typhon’s Brew), a review and bolstering of options for Setites will help them provide frivolities, knowledge, and services of the like that other clans will not, or can not, take the risk to be associated with

Meus objetivos como Coordenador Setite são proporcionar oportunidades de enredo mais interativas para a base de jogadores e incentivar um aumento na atividade dentro do gênero. Planejo realizar isso introduzindo mais encontros religiosos e promovendo o senso de comunidade que o gênero pretende cultivar. Abaixo estão mais detalhes sobre como isso será realizado: feriados religiosos dos seguidores não têm gerado a interação e atenção condizentes com os devotos, e essa é uma área em particular que espero revitalizar. Deve-se dar mais ênfase à importância dos feriados durante esses períodos do ano, com a possibilidade de eventos específicos de Setite focados em torno dessas datas. Estas férias serão adicionadas ao pacote com potencial para benefícios a certos Caminhos taumaturgicos ou outros benefícios das várias castas para essas férias.
Atualizações gramaticais e de formatação precisam ser feitas nos vários Pacotes neste momento. A consistência deve ser melhor incorporada com um grau maior de clareza para os jogadores que revisam os pacotes.
