Introduction and Background:

Hello Everyone! For those that don't know me, my name is David Ashby. I have been a member of One World by Night since the summer of 2007 when I created my first character, a Giovanni PC. The Giovanni genre is by far my favorite Clan genre. 

I have enjoyed playing in OWbN with everything that comes with it. From attending a variety of games and events to making many great friends over the years. Not just those local or regional, but from all over the world. This hobby has been one of the best experiences of my life. I plan on playing for many more years to come and hopefully making many more friends.

I would like to use my previous experiences as a player and time on various storytelling staffs to help support this genre.

Olá pessoal! Para quem não me conhece, meu nome é David Ashby. Sou membro do One World by Night desde o verão de 2007, quando criei meu primeiro personagem, um Giovanni PC. O gênero Giovanni é de longe meu gênero de Clã favorito.

Gostei de jogar no OWbN com tudo o que vem junto. Desde participar de uma variedade de jogos e eventos até fazer muitos grandes amigos ao longo dos anos. Não apenas aqueles locais ou regionais, mas de todo o mundo. Este hobby tem sido uma das melhores experiências da minha vida. Pretendo jogar por muitos mais anos e espero fazer muitos mais amigos.

Eu gostaria de usar minhas experiências anteriores como jogador e meu tempo em diversas equipes de narração de histórias para ajudar a apoiar esse gênero.

Personal Statement:

I want to keep the Giovanni genre that we have created in OWbN going and growing. In this regard I want to include everyone that I can in this genre. I am looking to expand on what we have, while at the same time giving plots and ideas for the PC’s willing to get into what the genre really is about. I know I can do the job and have the right mind and attitude that is needed for it.

My personal guidelines on how I plan to act include:

  • Use a clear head to make all decisions.
  • Be approachable and compassionate to the situations of others.
  • Be able to tell people ‘NO' when it is needed.
  • Never respond in anger.
  • Prioritize and make sure I carry on a continuous dialogue about boundaries and comfort levels with the people I interact with in OWbN.
  • Remember that everyone deserves a shot when it comes to interacting with NPCs as long as they are willing to accept the consequences of those actions.
  • Provide measured but dynamic opportunities to players of all point and experience levels.

Personal Statement (Portuguese):

Quero manter o gênero Giovanni que criamos no OWbN e crescer. Nesse sentido, quero incluir todos que puder neste gênero. Estou procurando expandir o que temos, ao mesmo tempo em que dou enredos e ideias para os PCs que desejam entrar no que o gênero realmente trata. Sei que posso fazer o trabalho e ter a mente e a atitude corretas necessárias para isso.

Minhas diretrizes pessoais sobre como pretendo agir incluem:

  • Use a cabeça limpa para tomar todas as decisões.
  • Seja acessível e compassivo com as situações dos outros.
  • Ser capaz de dizer 'NÃO' às pessoas quando for necessário.
  • Nunca responda com raiva.
  • Priorizar e garantir um diálogo contínuo sobre limites e níveis de conforto com as pessoas com quem interajo no OWbN.
  • Lembre-se de que todos merecem uma chance quando se trata de interagir com NPCs, desde que estejam dispostos a aceitar as consequências dessas ações.
  • Fornece oportunidades medidas, mas dinâmicas, para jogadores de todos os níveis e níveis de experiência.

Goals:

I have a lot of goals to do and listed below are the primary ones I really wish to focus on. Some of these are going to be a focus for us before the end of a couple months.

  • Create new/updated Genre packets for my office. 
  • Work on addressing any potential loose ends that may still exist from previous terms.
  • Employ efficient turnaround time to emails and approval requests.
  • Help facilitate and distribute plot modules that ST staffs can run for their players.
  • Work with the Coordinator offices that are attached through story and approvals to the Giovanni office in order to positively support PCs, NPC’s, and players.
  • Work with Team Giovanni to make sure that anything printed that falls under the office gets evaluated and if needed, addressed.
  • Work with the Brazilian games to expand the genre. This could include an international plot.

Tenho muitos objetivos a cumprir e listados abaixo são os principais nos quais realmente desejo me concentrar. Alguns deles serão o foco para nós antes do final de alguns meses.

  • Crie pacotes de gênero novos/atualizados para meu escritório.
  • Trabalhe para resolver quaisquer possíveis pontas soltas que ainda possam existir em mandatos anteriores.
  • Empregue um tempo de resposta eficiente para e-mails e solicitações de aprovação.
  • Ajude a facilitar e distribuir módulos de enredo que as equipes de ST podem executar para seus jogadores.
  • Trabalhe com os escritórios do Coordenador que estão anexados através de histórias e aprovações ao escritório Giovanni para apoiar positivamente PCs, NPCs e jogadores.
  • Trabalhe com a Equipe Giovanni para garantir que qualquer coisa impressa que seja da responsabilidade do escritório seja avaliada e, se necessário, tratada.
  • Trabalhar com os jogos brasileiros para expandir o gênero. Isso poderia incluir uma trama internacional.
