Hello! My name is Gabriela or Gabi as most people call me. I have been a member of OWBN since 2019 so I'm still a little new! I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida to proud Navy parents. Professionally, I am a licensed massage therapist at a high end resort and am a leading professional in my local field. I have worked spas and the medical side of massage in addition to teaching massage for two years for a total of almost 11 years in my field. Prior to my career as an LMT, I worked in HAZMAT handling for Toyota and private security. My role as a massage therapist at a high end resort requires a high level of customer service, patience, and quick thinking. As it is a 5 diamond rated resort (of which only .02% of the resorts in the world achieve the 5 diamond rating), the expectations and standards of service are very high. My clients expect the best and get the best. If elected AHC, you can expect my best as well.
Personally, I am very much an artisan type of person! I love sewing, cooking, baking, beadwork, embroidery, woodworking, carving, and most recently, I have taken up glassblowing at a local hot shop. Growing up in Florida, I spent a lot of time swimming, snorkeling, free diving, SCUBA diving (I am a licensed diver), hiking, canoeing, and camping. So many hobbies and yet, I still have room for one more: LARPing! I played mostly in local troupe games until I found OWbN and through the Gainesville troupe, found a wonderful group of people to game with.
Olá! Meu nome é Gabriela ou Gabi como a maioria das pessoas me chama. Sou membro da OWBN desde 2019, então ainda sou um pouco novo! Nasci e fui criado em Jacksonville, Flórida, de pais orgulhosos da Marinha. Profissionalmente, sou um massagista licenciado em um resort de alto nível e sou um profissional líder em meu campo local. Trabalhei em spas e no lado médico da massagem, além de ensinar massagem por dois anos, totalizando quase 11 anos na minha área. Antes de minha carreira como LMT, trabalhei no manuseio de HAZMAT para a Toyota e segurança privada. Meu papel como massagista em um resort de alto nível exige um alto nível de atendimento ao cliente, paciência e raciocínio rápido. Pessoalmente, sou muito mais um tipo de pessoa artesã! Eu amo costurar, cozinhar, assar, miçangas, bordados, marcenaria, escultura e, mais recentemente, comecei a fazer vidro soprado em uma loja local. Crescendo na Flórida, passei muito tempo nadando, mergulhando com snorkel, mergulho livre, mergulho autônomo (sou um mergulhador licenciado), caminhadas, canoagem e camping. Tantos hobbies e ainda tenho espaço para mais um: LARPing! Joguei principalmente em jogos de trupe locais até encontrar o OWbN e através da trupe de Gainesville, encontrei um grupo maravilhoso de pessoas para jogar.

While I know OWBN isn't perfect, I still love the organization and want to see it thrive and evolve. As the Historian and in helping Exec team, I have done my best in learning the website and making sure props are put up. I want to be able to help address issues and keep the ship that is the org sailing.
