Ocala, FL - USA, Hell is Taken
Number of Players: 20-29 players
Premise: Locked between the Anarch Territory of Gainesville to the North and the Camarilla Domain of Clermont to the South, Ocala's power as a Diocese has slipped over the past few years, allowing in other forces to contest their control over the city. With new blood brought to the fold, the Cainites of Ocala seek to retake control over their Diocese and bring the fight to their enemies in any way possible. Ocala has become a training grounds for dozens of new Cainites to cut their teeth and test their strength against the Sword of Caine's enemies, guiding by the hands of the few veterans left.
Theme: A young Diocese cutting its teeth on the Sword's enemies
Mood: Aesthetics: Game takes place in a private floor located above a bar. Sounds and music is provided on a number of bluetooth speakers, as well as appropriate lighting for the scene provided via LED lights. Emphasis is put onto costuming, with a portion of xp for each event dedicated to it. While the space provides for a genre setting in most cases, props and setting materials are used to accentuate and add to scenes that call for them.
Supernatural element: With a consistent Giovanni presence, ghosts are often a theme used at game. With Wyrm elements also present in the game spirit and changing breed antagonists are not rare. The presence of Kiasyd characters also provides some elements of Changeling to the local game. While magic items from hedge or true mages often find their way into the game from outside, they are not frequently used locally.
Mechanical Focus: The majority of the player base is new to parlor LARP as well as vampire, so mechanics is not a huge focus of the game. A majority of the time the base book and sabbat guide are all that is necessary at game, with some emphasis on the use of mechanics in the Sabbat Factions guide and clan packets. Emphasis is placed heavily on the roleplay of factions, clans, and the politics of the Sabbat venue, while providing a back drop of multiple threats to the Diocese for players to cut their teeth on.
Information for Travellers: Please have sheets sent via Haller Games prior to check in. In game identification of the Esbats can be found through Crimson Tide channels and typical Sabbat graffiti, as well as through politics and Sabbat Lore.
