[AUTOPASS] [BYLAW REVISION] Clarifying VNC
Open Votes
THIS PROPOSAL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO AUTOPASS
I, Chase Jelliffe, as Assistant Head Coordinator 1, hereby propose the following changes to the Administrative Bylaws:
4.e Before:
e. Vote of No Confidence
i. OWBN Coordinators may be removed from Office before their term has finished. This is done via a council proposal titled Vote of No Confidence for the coordinator in the subject line of the email by a member OWbN Council, Executive Team, or Mediation Team.
iii. The proposal containing this action against an elected Coordinator must pass with the most votes to remove them. The Head Coordinator is obligated to use his or her vote to break the tie, if necessary.
iv. Upon ratification of the removal the member will no longer serve OWBN in the position previously held. This action may not be reversed.
4.e After:
The Head Coordinator is obligated to use his or her vote to break the tie, if necessary.
iv. Upon ratification of the removal, the member will no longer serve OWBN in the previously held position unless and until they are reelected.
Reasoning: The intention of the bylaw is to remove a Coordinator, not to make it so they can’t rerun. “May not be reversed” means that the decision cannot be reversed; i.e. they must run again to become Coord again, a proposal cannot undo the VNC.
