[OBJECTION] [PACKET] Einherjar Codified

Pursuant to bylaw C. iii. Genre Coordinators must pass before Council any plot, R&U bylaw revision, R&U named characters, Coordinator-NPC Character Resurrections, territory requests, in character enforced policy, or in character binding edict they wish to use which they can reasonably expect to affect multiple chronicles and these proposals need not be seconded, but go immediately into discussion.

 

 

Reason for this proposal: We are working on solidifying the org material for various cultures and bloodlines of the Gangrel. With the Einherjar a lot of material is all over the place. With a lot of material players reference iactually real world information or misinformation. We feel it is important to have a single source for players to refer to for consensus and guidance on the Norse Gangrel and how the Norse Bloodlines and Culture are viewed and portrayed. We have done similar with the Knights of Avalon supplement, and put everything for players that iis defined as Einherjar /Neo-Einheerjar/Norse n one document.

 

The idea is to make.multiples of these sort of mini packets with seperate cultures and Bloodlines that have Coordinator approved materials as there currently is not enough easily accessible information for these Bloodlines and cultures within the Genre. Next term we hope to have an entire Genre Packet rewrite for the Gangrel, but feel these smaller Bloodline and Culturee packets give players the best access and support in the meanwhile. 

 

Why put it up at all versus wait? 

 

Because we want to be able to let the players modernize this through roleplay! While we work on other aspects of the clan genre, they are able to use this as their roleplay reference to keep the genre going and building new blood. We've talked with players about what they want, what they need to do that. Mostly they are confused on what they can or can't use for the Einherjar due to the changing org. What is spefic to them that they can reference or have to pad or build their sheets And there is a lot of general lack of understanding as to what Norse actually was and how it can be used effectively to tell good stories instead of as one dimensional caricatures, or drawing on misinformation or misappropriation. This document seeks to help players and Storytellers with those issues.
