I, Michael Flickinger, CM for Bridgeport propose the following edition to the Character Bylaws:
Previous:
6. Glass Ceiling
a. Vampires are restricted by the following
New:
6. Glass Ceiling
i. PCs may never use more than 5 retests on a single challenge. Charity retests and the "9 Lives" merit do not count towards these limits.
a. Vampires are restricted by the following
---Legacy---
Does not apply
---Reasoning---
Primarily this is being repropped is remove DR from the prop. This is to allow DR to be its own discussion. As well as included the 9 lives merit since it specifically states you can use it as many times as you want. I also changed this, per the request of many, to make it a global change rather than one specifically targeted at Vampire PCs. So this prop would impact all PCs regardless of genres. The other reasons mentioned in the previous prop also apply to this one as well.
Sincerely,
Michael Flickinger
CM of Bridgeport

New York City, NY - USA, Kings of New York | For | This a game balance issue that makes a fair playing ground for all players. I think the vast majority will agree, someone calling 15 retests on a challenge isn't best for game. It just slows everything down and creates a player class of haves and have nots. Most people can get to 5 pretty easily, not so much 15 or more, nor was the system ever intended to allow that by the writers. |
