I, Andrea Fields, as North American Mediator 1, hereby propose the following change to Coordinator Bylaw 3.a.ix.1:
THIS PROPOSAL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO AUTOPASS
Bylaw 3.a.ix.1 Before:
-
All issues brought before the Mediation Coordinators shall have a minimum of three coordinators to address the issue. If a Mediation Coordinator has a conflict of interest with the issue in question; they may recuse themselves and have another Mediation Coordinator take their place. The Head Coordinator and/or the Assistant Head Coordinators may be on any communications of the Mediation Coordinators as observers.

In a coordinator election year, the Mediation Team will not accept any new mediations after January 1st of the election year until elections have concluded. All open mediations submitted before that time will be handled by the current team.
Reasoning: Mediations are handled with teams in place, the comfortability of those all involved, and the trust of the Mediation team at the time of the sign up. To change the team mid-mediation would cause chaos and confusion. It also could break the trust of the players/volunteers involved. Therefore, I am suggesting that no new meditations be taken on during an election year until post elections, and for all current ones to attempt to be settled before the election period OR finished by the initial team who started the mediation.
