Custom Blood Magic: Ritual
Some chronicles allow for their players to develop customized powers for their characters. The following is a compilation of player created custom content in OWBN. At this time, custom content that is created and/or used by vampire PC's is required to be listed.
As masters of Svdharma many Sadhu have taken to a practice of confusing the wheel of fate in regards to their own truths and destiny. As a key tenant of the Path of Paradox its members attempt to weave lies and deceit to become one with the lies of the universe and seek true enlightenment. Through this ritual a Sadhu can thwart their enemies who seek answers to their secrets by nefarious means. The arts of divination, demon summing or asking other ethereal things for questions on the Sadhu will simply fail. The Sadhu must first ritually bath in the blood of five different individuals while reciting ritual prayer to add the karmic influence of those he bathed into his own. Once complete, and for the remainder of the night, the Sadhu is granted protection to the effects of any supernatural power that grants any information about them that is not directly gotten from the sadhu himself. That is to say rituals such as Video Nefas and Whispers In The Dark, or any similar power simply produce lies and falsehoods on the target, and grant information instead on those whose blood the Sadhu has bathed in; when used to gain information of the vampire under the effects of this ritual. The result of which is often different conflicting information each time someone attempts to use the rituals on the Sadhu as it will randomly grant information based on those blood the Sadhu has bathed in.
Telyavelic Tremere often find the need to use their full capabilities while remaining apart from technology. While suffusing their essence with nature through the ritual: “Become One With The Land”, they may then expend a point of Willpower into their domain to consider their claimed area as a “controlled setting”. Telyavelic Tremere may then use Alchemy freely within their claimed domain without the need for a laboratory setting. A Telyav may equally use chalk circles symbology and a campfire in place of chemicals over a Bunsen Burner. This does not negate any of the other requirements to use Alchemy, only shifts the focus for their magic. This lasts as long as the ritual “Become One With the Land” does. Additional Willpower may be spent when spending blood to maintain the connection with their land.
Nectar of Poimandres (Intermediary Ritual)
"To Aristotle, the soul and the body coincide in such a way that one cannot survive without the other. Thus, they form a substantial unit in which the soul is the body's perfect act."
This ritual derived from the three primes of alchemy aims to give real meaning to the words of this philosopher.
System: The thaumaturge creates a compound by mixing a point of his blood with sulfur, mercury and salt. The mixture should be heated slowly to a boil and then cooled.
When the substance is drunk, the connection between body, mind and soul is strengthened. Until the next sunrise, any attempt to separate body, mind and soul, regardless of if it is contested (via a challenge) or self-initiated (like with Astral Projection) will not occur immediately. It will take a number of turns equal to half the thaumaturge permanent willpower (round up) for the separation to occur. During these turns the target will be afflicted with great distress and will need to bet an extra trait for any action he wishes to perform.

Nectar de Poimandres (Ritual Intermediário)

Este ritual derivado da Tria Prima da Alquimia tem como objetivo dar significado real às palavras desse filósofo.
Sistema: O taumaturgo cria um composto misturando um ponto do sangue dele com enxofre, mercúrio e sal. A mistura deve ser aquecida lentamente até a ebulição e então resfriada.
Quando a substância é bebida a ligação entre corpo, mente e alma é fortalecida. Até o próximo nascer do sol toda a tentativa de separar corpo, mente e alma independente de ser através de uma disputa (através de um teste) ou algo iniciado por si mesmo (como em Projeção Astral) não ocorrerá de imediato. Será necessário um número de turnos igual a metade da força de vontade permanente do taumaturgo (arredondado para cima) para que a separação ocorra. Durante estes turnos o alvo será acometido por grande aflição e precisará apostar um trait extra para qualquer ação que deseje executar.

Odin's Hunt was heard but rarely seen, and a typical trait is that one of Odin's dogs was barking louder and a second one fainter. Aside from the dying screams of prey, these barks were the only sounds that were clearly identified. When Odin's hunt was heard, it meant changing weather in many regions, but it could also mean war and unrest. According to some reports, the forest turned silent and only a whining sound and dog barks could be heard.
Some people believed that Odin hunted with large birds when the dogs got tired. When it was needed, he could transform a bevy of sparrows into an armed host.
Mechanics;
By devouring the leg bone of a bird or canine at the spot where his prey has been, the Koldun may focus upon the image of his quarry and enter a fugue-like frenzy.
Barks or songs may be heard in the direction of his quarry driving the Koldun in its direction taken either afoot or astride granting +3 traits in Hunting and Tracking and +3 Suvival retests for this purpose.
If the quarry passes under moving water, the ritual breaks at the edge of the water. If more than one lunar cycle has passed, then this ritual yields nothing. The Koldun may not end this Frenzy unless engaged in combat and suffers at least one health level of damage.
Ofuda (Intermediate Aljusuri Ritual, Dur-An-Ki)
The Shinto practice of Ofuda, or prayer paper that can be used to banish or ward off an evil spirit. Based
primarily on the religious practices of the Shugendō sect of Shingon Buddhism, the would be “exorcist”
performs the standard religious rites and asks for the blessings the heavens. After which the prayer paper has
become enchanted to ward of evil spirits that would dare oppose the caster.
System: First the priest must learn the name of the “Demon” (Demons in this case means malevolent spirit.
Aka Wyrm Spirits, Djinn, and spirit “demons”) to write upon the piece of holy paper. Each Casting of this
ritual creates one Ofuda. With the Ofuda it can be used for several different applications.
Firstly if placed on an object housing a “Demon” the caster may engage the Spirit inside in a contested
Willpower versus Gnosis challenge. If you succeed the spirit is cast from the object and materializes on the
physical plane. Secondly you may place the Ofuda on a person being possessed by the spirit and also
perform a contested willpower versus gnosis challenge against the spirit possessing the individual. If you
succeed they too are also forced from possession and to manifest on the physical plane. Lastly, an Ofuda can
be placed on a materialized spirit itself that is on the physical plane. If this is done the caster may again
engage the spirit in a contested willpower versus Gnosis challenge. If the caster succeeds the spirit is
banished back to its home plane for a year and a day.
This ritual has no effect on Fallen and a caster may only have a number of Ofuda active at a time equal to
their Theology ability rating.
Advanced Ritual
System: This ritual allows those Chosen who are designated at the time of it's casting to stare into a silver mirror and telepathically speak to the other targets of this ritual, even across the world.
This means of communication can be maintained all night and can switch from person to person throughout the casting. It can even contact several (or all) of them simultaneously, with each Hand member getting a mystical signal alerting her to the fact that there is another that seeks her attention. Many Black Hand agents carry pocket mirrors in compacts or cigarette cases for just such an event.
This ritual lasts for the duration of a single mission or assignment, also defined at the time of casting.
Known only to Lord Alexander, this ritual seems extremely underwhelming for its scale. However, this ritual grants the mystic the ability to read and altar the Book of Names. To cast this ritual the Mystic must first gather several things. Firstly they will require the Blood of the Lasombra Clan Founder Himself. Next they will need an artifact called the Key to Understanding (a rather literal Black Skelton Key). They will also require a vial of Black Water and the Black Candle of Tubal-Cain. Once acquired the mystic may cast this ritual and unlock the secrets of Babel and the Book of Names.
System: This ritual costs 1 permanent Willpower trait once complete. There after the caster may speak and understand any language. Even those not of this world. In particular, it allows the caster to understand and write (or erase) from the Book of Names.
Similar to a Diabloist or a Kindred who makes a pact with a Yama King to become an Akums, this Abyss Mystic allows the vampire to contact the dark gods of the Abyss who rule this alien realm. By learning the name of the Lord of Darkness one wishes to summon, creating a prepared circle in blood and an altar made of Obsidian; the Abyss Mystic may call them out to grant them power. Once complete the Abyss Mystics falls into a slumber similar to that caused by daylight. As they do they commune with the called Lord of Darkness. There a great negotiation occurs between the mystic and the alien god. Once agreed upon the Abyss Mystic awakens and finds new power gifted to them by their liege.
System: The Abyss Mystic summons forth one of the Lords of Darkness, a ruler of the Abyss to enter into an agreement with them for dark power. The Abyss Mystic may summon a specific Lord of Darkness if they so desire to bargain with. Once complete the Abyss Mystic must agree to whatever terms and services the Lord of Darkness and themselves have negotiated to. Usually the Lord of Darkness requires a specific service, but also require specific things or force the vampire to suffer some sort of flaw or penalty. This pact should be written on the characters sheet for whatever the agreement was. Once the agreement has been reached the character may purchase one path of Dark Thaumaturgy or Investment per agreement/use of this ritual. The Paths available through Dark Thaumaturgy in this method are listed below. Dark Thaumaturgy Rituals are also available but are learned by normal Blood Magic Ritual rules. The ones available are listed below as well. The rules for this pact are presented in the Brotherhood of Rafazi packet under Soul Arts.
Additionally, if the character ever violated her pacts, they character loses access to their Dark Thaumaturgy and/or Investments and may only may gain it back by making amends with the Lords of Darkness. All Paths and Rituals are Demon Coordinator Approval. The character may not get other Investments from this ritual, and would need to become a normal infernalist to do so.
