2024 - Lasombra - Michael Woodin
Introduction and Background:
My name is Mike Woodin and I am running for Lasombra Coord. My playing experience dates back to 1997, joining the Org as a whole probably sometime around 1998-1999. Ive played mostly in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic arenas, but have ventured out to the Midwest a few times. I have attended several NonClaves and Glitter & Glooms, as well as Midwinter and Grand Elysiums. As far as characters go, the vast majority of them have been Camarillan, however I have been playing a Lasombra for the last 6 years in the Sabbat genre. On that side of the genre, I have attended several Palla Grande’s as well as our newest event, the Grand Synod.

Meu nome é Mike Woodin e estou concorrendo ao Lasombra Coord. Minha experiência como jogador remonta a 1997, ingressando na Org como um todo, provavelmente por volta de 1998-1999. Joguei principalmente nas arenas do Nordeste e Centro-Atlântico, mas me aventurei algumas vezes no Centro-Oeste. Participei de vários NonClaves e Glitter & Glooms, bem como de Midwinter e Grand Elysiums. No que diz respeito aos personagens, a grande maioria deles são Camarillan, porém tenho interpretado um Lasombra nos últimos 6 anos no gênero Sabá. Nesse lado do gênero, participei de vários Palla Grande, bem como do nosso mais novo evento, o Grande Sínodo.

SubCoord for Lasombra Coordinator – 2017 to 2023: While a member of this office, my responsibility has been Lasombra Anti genre, including the reinstituting of the Herald and the Registry as well as working with his other regional SubCoords to further assist players of Camarillan Lasombra. I have, however, provided insight and feedback to the Coordinator and SubCoord on all aspects of Lasombra genre. I have also served as the interim Lasombra Coord for a time when the Coord need to take a leave of absence.
SubCoord for Camarilla Coordinator – 2017 & 2022-current – My responsibilities have largely been related to the Josians and their administration over the last few years. I have worked with Michael to begin bringing the Josians more inline with our vision for their purpose.

Personal Statement:
The Lasombra clan has always been one of my personal favorites. They have an interesting history and have a large variety of concepts that fit within their genre. I have also enjoyed the various branches that have come from the clan, and how they relate to each other. The internal conflict within the clan between the Sabbat and the Anti-tribu has also been something I find compelling.
I have been working with the Lasombra genre for many years at this point. Initially, I was brought in to handle the reinstitution of the Herald position and to work on LAT genre in the org. As time has gone on, I have taken a more active role in assisting with the other aspects of Lasombra genre through discussion and input. In the past, I have served as Interim Coord, with the support of the entire team. During that time, I was very open and communicative with them to ensure that we were all on the same page with our decisions, even if we did not always all agree.

O clã Lasombra sempre foi um dos meus favoritos. Eles têm uma história interessante e uma grande variedade de conceitos que se enquadram em seu gênero. Também gostei dos vários ramos que vieram do clã e de como eles se relacionam entre si. O conflito interno dentro do clã entre o Sabá e os Anti-tribu também tem sido algo que considero convincente.
Tenho trabalhado com o gênero Lasombra há muitos anos. Inicialmente, fui contratado para cuidar da reinstituição da posição do Herald e trabalhar no gênero LAT na organização. Com o passar do tempo, assumi um papel mais ativo auxiliando em outros aspectos do gênero Lasombra por meio de discussões e contribuições. No passado, atuei como Coordenador Interino, com o apoio de toda a equipe. Durante esse período, fui muito aberto e comunicativo com eles para garantir que estávamos todos em sintonia com as nossas decisões, mesmo que nem sempre concordássemos.
Goals:
● Response Time: Ideally, it is my goal to respond to inquiries/messages within a 24 hour period with no more than 3 days response time from the staff.
● Factions: It is my intention to review all the factions within the clan and make changes where necessary to not only make them more exciting and interesting to play, but to provide more clarity for ST’s who may want to use them as antagonists or allies.
● Coordination and Communication: I intend to work with the Sabbat and Cam coords to ensure that the Lasombra clan is meshing with those genre’s in an appropriate manner and fulfilling their place within it. Within the Sabbat, I feel like they are in a decent place, but I always think there is an opportunity to do more. For the Camarilla, I have been working on it for years, but again, I think more can and should be done.
● Sabbat focus: Clan Lasombra is a pillar clan of the Sabbat, and is most numerous within that sect. I intend to spend more time focusing on how we can grow that genre, and support the player base that takes part in it.
Goals (Portuguese):
● Tempo de resposta: Idealmente, meu objetivo é responder às perguntas/mensagens dentro de um período de 24 horas, com no máximo 3 dias de tempo de resposta da equipe.
● Facções: Minha intenção é revisar todas as facções dentro do clã e fazer alterações quando necessário, não apenas para torná-las mais emocionantes e interessantes de jogar, mas também para fornecer mais clareza aos STs que possam querer usá-las como antagonistas ou aliados.
● Coordenação e Comunicação: Pretendo trabalhar com as coordenadas do Sabá e do Cam para garantir que o clã Lasombra esteja se misturando com esses gêneros de maneira apropriada e preenchendo seu lugar dentro dele. Dentro do Sabá, sinto que eles estão em uma posição decente, mas sempre acho que há uma oportunidade de fazer mais. Para a Camarilla, venho trabalhando nisso há anos, mas, novamente, acho que mais pode e deve ser feito.
● Foco do Sabá: O Clã Lasombra é um clã pilar do Sabá e é mais numeroso dentro dessa seita. Pretendo passar mais tempo focando em como podemos desenvolver esse gênero e apoiar a base de jogadores que participa dele.
