Introduction and Background:

Hello my fellow nerds! My name is William, better known as Will. My first introduction to the World of Darkness was the tabletop version of V:tM back in the 90's. I've been part of the org off and on since 2000 starting with Camarilla (all about that Tore life). I later found Sabbat (only one game, I try not to dwell ;) ). I found Garou in 2003 and have been addicted ever since. Will always have a soft spot for the Children of Gaia. I currently have a character that loves to travel from one end of the country to the other and sometimes to the edge of the Umbra. And also loves to get into trouble with the Fae (I know most of you are going to know who I'm talking about, for everyone else find out IC). After some years away from LARP I returned and my first game back was Garou. And after finding out that many games were on Discord I set myself the task of getting my fresh baby character into as much trouble as I possibly could. Eventually I became the AST of Memories of Gaia and have my own Mult-Genre game that's on it's way to being a full chronicle. I've guest narrated in a couple of games, took part in the Goblin Town plot ran by the venerable Changeling Coord Ash and took part in the Croatan plot.

Olá meus colegas nerds! Meu nome é William, mais conhecido como Will. Minha primeira introdução ao Mundo das Trevas foi a versão de mesa do V:tM nos anos 90. Faço parte da organização desde 2000, começando pela Camarilla (tudo sobre a vida dos Tore). Mais tarde encontrei o Sabbat (apenas um jogo, tento não insistir ;)). Encontrei Garou em 2003 e estou viciado desde então. Sempre terá uma queda pelos Filhos de Gaia. Atualmente tenho um personagem que adora viajar de uma ponta a outra do país e às vezes até a orla da Umbra. E também adora se meter em encrencas com os Fae (sei que a maioria de vocês saberá de quem estou falando, para todos os outros descobrirem IC). Depois de alguns anos afastado do LARP retornei e meu primeiro jogo de volta foi Garou. E depois de descobrir que muitos jogos estavam no Discord, me propus a tarefa de colocar meu novo personagem bebê em tantos problemas quanto possível. Eventualmente me tornei o AST de Memories of Gaia e tenho meu próprio jogo multigênero que está a caminho de se tornar uma crônica completa. Narrei como convidado em alguns jogos, participei da trama de Goblin Town dirigida pelo venerável Changeling Coord Ash e participei da trama de Croatan.

Administrative Experience:

During my early days of being in troupe games I was AST of a couple of large games back in the day. Currently I'm the AST of Memories of Gaia and HST of (insert Mult-Genre game currently called Keys to the Kingdom). Outside of LARP I've worked retail customer service for the better part of 15 years, most of that taking complaints from customers and working to de-escalate the worst of them. I've spent 5 years working in a call center environment either tech support or in the state based health exchange. And 2 years as a sales supervisor.

Other gaming ventures were a series of free-form RP games through AOL chat and mIRC and on the electronic side of things I've helped put together two Discord servers with one of them soon to go live for the Children of Gaia (told you I have a soft spot ;) ).

Administrative Experience (Portuguese):

Durante meus primeiros dias em jogos de trupe, eu participei de alguns jogos grandes naquela época. Atualmente sou AST de Memories of Gaia e HST de (inserir jogo multigênero atualmente chamado Keys to the Kingdom). Fora do LARP, trabalhei no atendimento ao cliente de varejo por quase 15 anos, a maior parte dos quais atendendo reclamações de clientes e trabalhando para acalmar o pior deles. Passei 5 anos trabalhando em um ambiente de call center, seja em suporte técnico ou na bolsa de saúde estadual. E 2 anos como supervisor de vendas.

Outros empreendimentos de jogos foram uma série de jogos RP de formato livre através do bate-papo da AOL e mIRC e, no lado eletrônico, ajudei a montar dois servidores Discord, com um deles em breve sendo lançado para os Filhos de Gaia (disse que eu tem um ponto fraco ;) ).

Personal Statement:

After coming back to the org and spending time as a player in many games and an ST of a couple I've heard a lot of the concerns from other players and ST's. Concerns that going to the coords is asking for trouble, that it'll be an automatic No or that Vampire is the only thing that the org really cares about. The lack of interaction in a centralized style such as an IC Discord or active email list. Or that emails were being forgotten or that people felt they were being ignored. And how the packets have not been updated since the dawn of time. And since I'm the administrative ST (did you think AST meant Assistant ;) ) I'm very will versed in keeping notes and keeping things organized.

Personal Statement (Portuguese):

Depois de voltar para a organização e passar um tempo como jogador em muitos jogos e alguns STs, ouvi muitas preocupações de outros jogadores e STs. Preocupações de que ir para as coordenadas é pedir problemas, que será um Não automático ou que Vampiro é a única coisa com a qual a organização realmente se importa. A falta de interação em um estilo centralizado, como um IC Discord ou uma lista de e-mail ativa. Ou que os e-mails estavam sendo esquecidos ou que as pessoas sentiam que estavam sendo ignoradas. E como os pacotes não foram atualizados desde o início dos tempos. E como sou o ST administrativo (você achou que AST significava Assistente;)), sou muito versado em fazer anotações e manter as coisas organizadas.

Goals:

  1. Show the Org that the Coords office is not something to be afraid of. I would like to do this by having more RP and more OOC time with the Changing Breeds players and even discussions concerning the current state of affairs in the Genre.
  2. Prove that the Changing Breeds can get just as much love as any of the other genres. This would be done by encouraging the players to submit more of their custom Rites, Fetishes, Gifts etc.
  3. Bring the Changing Breeds together by creating one place for everyone congregate and share information IC. This could also be accomplished with number 2. But also have player created plot that can be initiated by characters interacting with each other which is something I've always enjoyed. Even including spots for Kinfolk in plots or even have Kinfolk related plots.
  4. Make sure to answer emails within 72 hours at least letting players know that they haven't been forgotten about. There are a lot of tools that can be used to keep track of emails and keep even groups organized and on time.
  5. Start updates to the packets for the tribes and even go over the Fera packets to see if any need updating (a huge undertaking but something that still needs to be done). This particular undertaking will take a bit of time I know, but even calling out to other volunteers to come and help with updating the packets will definitely help with reducing the load.

Goals (Portuguese):

  1. Mostre à Organização que o escritório Coords não é algo para se temer. Eu gostaria de fazer isso tendo mais RP e mais tempo OOC com os jogadores do Changing Breeds e até mesmo discussões sobre o estado atual das coisas no gênero.
  2. Prove que Changing Breeds pode receber tanto amor quanto qualquer outro gênero. Isso seria feito incentivando os jogadores a enviar mais Ritos, Fetiches, Presentes personalizados, etc.
  3. Reúna as Raças Mutantes criando um lugar para todos se reunirem e compartilharem informações IC. Isso também poderia ser conseguido com o número 2. Mas também ter um enredo criado pelo jogador que pode ser iniciado por personagens interagindo entre si, algo que sempre gostei. Inclusive incluindo vagas para Parentes nas tramas ou até mesmo tendo tramas relacionadas a Parentes.
  4. Certifique-se de responder aos e-mails dentro de 72 horas, pelo menos, informando aos jogadores que eles não foram esquecidos. Existem muitas ferramentas que podem ser usadas para controlar e-mails e manter até mesmo grupos organizados e dentro do prazo.
  5. Inicie atualizações nos pacotes para as tribos e até mesmo revise os pacotes Fera para ver se algum precisa de atualização (uma tarefa enorme, mas algo que ainda precisa ser feito). Este empreendimento em particular levará um pouco de tempo, eu sei, mas até mesmo chamar outros voluntários para virem ajudar na atualização dos pacotes certamente ajudará a reduzir a carga.
