2024 - Changeling - Shane Nichols
Introduction and Background:
Hello!
My name is Shane, some people call me Boggan, most people know me from running the changeling game at blood and ice the past few three years. I started Larping with a changeling the dreaming troop game back in 2016 at midwinter gaming convention. I quickly expanded from troop to OWBN only a few months later, with the vampire genre. Changeling quickly became my favorite genera both to run and play for the sheer amount of creative freedom that it allows its players and storytellers. When it comes to the genera as it stands in OWBN I think that there is a lot that can be expanded on; with the release of C20 we saw a lot of new lore and expansion on some topics and Kith’s that I would really like to bring representation to in the org. Changeling is such an expansive genera with limitless possibility I want to shine a light on that uniqueness and hopefully bring some people in the org to the genera who have yet to experience the dreaming.

Meu nome é Shane, algumas pessoas me chamam de Boggan, a maioria das pessoas me conhece por ter comandado o jogo changeling de sangue e gelo nos últimos três anos. Comecei Larping com um jogo de tropa dos sonhos em 2016, na convenção de jogos de inverno. Eu rapidamente expandi de tropa para OWBN apenas alguns meses depois, com os gêneros de vampiros. Changeling rapidamente se tornou meu gênero favorito tanto para correr quanto para jogar pela enorme liberdade criativa que permite a seus jogadores e contadores de histórias. Quando se trata dos gêneros como estão no OWBN, acho que há muito que pode ser expandido; com o lançamento do C20, vimos muitas novidades e expansões sobre alguns tópicos e Kiths que eu realmente gostaria de trazer representação na organização. Changeling é um gênero tão expansivo com possibilidades ilimitadas. Quero destacar essa singularidade e espero trazer algumas pessoas da organização para os gêneros que ainda não experimentaram o sonho.
Administrative Experience:
My experience in the org when it comes to admin has been varied. As stated in my introduction I have been running the Blood and Ice Changeling event for the past three years with great success and increasing interest. I currently am the HST of Madison Black Crusade, and have been in the position for 5 years and am in the process of creating a satellite changeling game that will have both live as well as discord events focusing around the major holidays and celebrations. During a previous historian coordinator’s term, I was part of the Changeling historian team and created a list of all the kingdoms of Concordia.
Administrative Experience (Portuguese):
Minha experiência na organização quando se trata de administração tem sido variada. Como afirmei na minha introdução, tenho realizado o evento Blood and Ice Changeling nos últimos três anos com grande sucesso e interesse crescente. Atualmente sou o HST da Madison Black Crusade, estou no cargo há 5 anos e estou no processo de criação de um jogo changeling satélite que terá eventos ao vivo e de discórdia focados nos principais feriados e celebrações. Durante o mandato anterior de coordenador de historiadores, fiz parte da equipe de historiadores Changeling e criei uma lista de todos os reinos de Concórdia.
Personal Statement:
Changeling is a game of belief, dreams, hope, and loss. I hope to bring each of those aspects together to create a genera that anyone can enjoy. I have found that most view changeling as a “happy go lucky” or “rainbow” filled game, to those people I say that it is important to remember that changeling is what you make it, it can be a story of hope and fun as you explore dreams of humanity and fae alike or it can be tinged with nightmare and the fear that perhaps one day you will be forgotten, your dream lost to the void of space with nothing left but a glimmer of glamour in someone’s memory. It is that dynamic that I hope to bring into the Org should be chosen as coordinator.

Changeling é um jogo de crenças, sonhos, esperança e perda. Espero reunir cada um desses aspectos para criar um gênero que todos possam desfrutar. Eu descobri que a maioria vê o changeling como um jogo cheio de “feliz sorte” ou “arco-íris”. Para essas pessoas eu digo que é importante lembrar que changeling é o que você faz dele, pode ser uma história de esperança e diversão como você explora sonhos da humanidade e das fadas ou pode ser tingido de pesadelo e do medo de que talvez um dia você seja esquecido, seu sonho perdido no vazio do espaço, com nada mais além de um brilho de glamour na memória de alguém. É essa dinâmica que espero trazer para a Organização que deverá ser escolhida como coordenadora.
Goals:
Goals
- Bring some focus to the genre and its cross combability with other genre's in the org
- Add additional information to the existing packets for the missing Kiths, inanime, and other creatures of the dreaming
- Add information for the players on houses/societies
- Implement genre plot
- Guage player and game interest in various topics
- Put together a changeling historian file with a time line of events in the org as it relates to changeling
- Condense Bylaws/Approvals
- Seek player involvement in the direction that the Org should take with Changeling

- Traga algum foco para o gênero e sua compatibilidade cruzada com outros gêneros na organização
- Adicione informações adicionais aos pacotes existentes para os Kiths desaparecidos, inanime e outras criaturas do sonho
- Adicione informações para os jogadores sobre casas/sociedades
- Implementar enredo de gênero
- Avaliar o interesse do jogador e do jogo em vários tópicos
- Reúna um arquivo histórico do changeling com uma linha do tempo de eventos na organização relacionados ao changeling
- Condensar estatutos/aprovações
- Buscar o envolvimento dos jogadores na direção que a Organização deve tomar com o Changeling
