Modifying the Preamble of the OWbN Bylaws, the Final Cut

Tampa: Under Night's Cloak proposes a change to the preamble section of each of the OWbN Bylaws.

 

This proposal requires a Second in order to go to vote.

 

The preamble to each Bylaw are one of the first things new players, outsiders, and potentially new Storytellers to our organization see when they browse our "rules." This preamble attempts to explain, at a high-level, who we are and what we do. It also removes the negative connotations of distrust created by the use of words like "sovereignty" and "impugn."

 

One World by Night (OWbN) is a network of international Live Action Role Play (LARP) chronicles. These chronicles are brought together for the purpose of sharing a broad and colorful story that extends past each city's borders. We believe in the sovereignty of each chronicle, so far as it does not impugn upon the cohesiveness of the organization as a whole. We further believe that treating each chronicle, and by extension each player, with respect is the bedrock upon which sound cooperative Storytelling takes place.
