By-Law Modification "Clear and Present Danger."

While we remain cognizant of our ever-changing needs and with the expansion of our system and the development of a more defined One World by Night Universe, it becomes necessary for the Head Coordinator to reserve the ability to immediately withdraw One World by Night from potentially litigious or illegal endeavors. This includes, but is not limited to copyright infringement as presented by an attorney, or any other actions presented by a formally recognized official.
In light of this, I hereby propose the following addendum to the Coordinator By-Laws 3.a.1: Head Coordinator, with the addition of a 3.a.1.5:
5. The Head Coordinator, when presented with legal demands, threats of legal action, or other legally related situations which present an immediate, clear, and present danger to the organization, is empowered to take whatever emergency and prophylactic actions are required to avoid the adverse consequences. This emergency action is authorized without passing a specific proposal through Council, provided that within two weeks of the emergency action, the Head Coordinator must present to Council, for approval, a formal proposal stating the nature of the emergency and the action taken.
In essence, if we are threatened with an actual lawsuit or are issued a formal or informal cease-and-desist order, etc....I can pull those props, packets, etc...without having to wait two weeks to obey the law.
P.S. Yes, this is a direct result of the packets....they are derivative, unlicensed works, being distributed without WW/CCP's approval and they could pull it at any time.
