Currently the wording of Administrative Bylaw 1, Section F, Subsection ii; states:
"ii) For a bylaw, genre document, rule and regulation to be binding, it must be on the OWBN website. The HC and/or AHC are responsible for ensuring all applicable documents are on the OWBN website."
I feel that this is not clear, nor do I feel that it's intent is followed. I hereby propose that it be changed to:
"ii) For a bylaw, genre document, rule and regulation to be enforceable, it must be on the OWBN website. The HC and/or AHC are responsible for ensuring all applicable documents are on the OWBN website.
1)Bylaws will be posted on the main page, under the Bylaws Section
2)Genre Documents (binding or otherwise), will be posted in the Council Pages (so that security of said documents ca be ensured), on a page entitled "Current Genre Documentation".
3)All Rules and Regulations, as stated above, that are not Bylaws or Genre Documentation, will be posted in the Council Pages, on a page entitled "Other Rules and Regulations"."
This Proposal will also set a specific time for these changes to be implemented, with that time being 60 (sixty) days, from the closure of vote, pending a Vote to pass these changes into Bylaw.
Purpose:
As an ST, I have often found it a difficult endeavor to gather all genre documents so that, as an ST, I can make sure that my game is in full compliance with the Bylaws. As a member chronicle of OWBN, it is my declared responsibility to do so, as outlined in the Bylaws. It would seem an obvious benefit, to have all of these in one place, that all CMs can get to, while remaining secure from the masses.
Additionally, as I have been a CM for only a short time, the other Rules and Regulations that have been passed, but only reside on the "Past Votes" page, are hard to find, decide what supersedes what, etc. Please forgive my ignorance, but if these things have passed, I would think that they are important enough to warrant all CMs knowing about them.
