[Proposal] Replacement Code of Conduct 13 October, 2019

I, Rob Beckett, CM of Orlando: Magic Kingdom hereby propose the following to replace our current code of conduct going forward from the date this proposal passes (assuming it does pass). 

 

 I pulled it previously because a player had reached out to their attorney about this. I was given some preliminary feedback on a couple of points both by that player and people on council. The two main points that were brought up to me was that Section 4.2 did not leave a way for a player to excuse themselves from a situation and that language specific to the U.S. needed to be added regarding the weapons policy in section 5.

 

I've addressed both of those concerns and if this passes, the language in the Portuguese version should be double-checked to ensure it matches and that my translation isn't complete crap.

 

Rationale: We have all heard people complain about how the current CoC has no teeth and is written in such a way as to allow easy manipulation when allegations are made regarding its violation. I have modeled this document on CoCs from other organizations that I have been a part of.
