2020 - Salubri - Zachary Cherry
Introduction and Background:
Hello everyone! My name is Zachary Cherry and I've been with One World by Night since 2008. I wanted to go ahead and start this application by saying thank you to Zac Race for everything he's been doing with the Salubri genre. This year has been a particularly hectic one for everyone in the org considering COVID-19 and I think for a lot of people this game has served as a decent distraction or escape.
I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and I have played in most games in my state and surrounding states. In 2009 I played my first Salubri character and I dove into the lore of the Clan. I quickly came to love everything about Clan Salubri, reading all of the source material I could find. In 2013 I joined Team Salubri, leaving at the beginning of 2015 after my life went sideways. After taking a year off of gaming, I returned and slowly reengaged with my hobby. This game has given me some of the most meaningful friendships and connections of my lifetime, something I know that many other players can understand.

Olá a todos! Meu nome é Zachary Cherry e estou no One World by Night desde 2008. Eu queria ir em frente e começar este aplicativo, agradecendo a Zac Race por tudo que ele tem feito com o gênero Salubri. Este ano foi particularmente agitado para todos na organização, considerando COVID-19 e acho que para muitas pessoas este jogo serviu como uma distração ou fuga decente.
Eu sou de Cincinnati, Ohio, e joguei a maioria dos jogos em meu estado e nos estados vizinhos. Em 2009, interpretei meu primeiro personagem Salubri e mergulhei na tradição do Clã. Rapidamente passei a amar tudo sobre o Clã Salubri, lendo todo o material de referência que pude encontrar. Em 2013 entrei para o Team Salubri, saindo no início de 2015 depois que minha vida deu errado. Depois de tirar um ano do jogo, voltei e lentamente me reengatei ao meu hobby. Este jogo me deu algumas das amizades e conexões mais significativas da minha vida, algo que eu sei que muitos outros jogadores podem entender.

Personal Statement:
Salubri has been my favorite genre in this game for years now and I have a lot of ideas to offer in this org. I am a student at Miami University in Oxford Ohio getting my degree in History. One of the things I enjoy the most about this game is how much history it involves and how much is accurate. I am particularly fond of Eastern/Middle-Eastern History, which gives me a unique perspective than others when it comes to writing plot and concepts. I don't want anybody to think that I'm going to come at them with lines such as "that's not historically accurate so I don't want you to play it" because ultimately I understand that this is a fantasy game.
I enjoy novels, such as the writings of Brandon Sanderson, and I draw a lot of inspiration from the stories I read. (If anyone has good recommendations, I drive a lot and audible is wonderful). I also want to say that considering COVID, I have spent almost all of my time on my computer and my job is also on my computer.

Salubri tem sido meu gênero favorito neste jogo há anos e tenho muitas ideias a oferecer nesta organização. Sou estudante da Miami University em Oxford, Ohio, obtendo meu diploma em História. Uma das coisas que mais gosto neste jogo é a quantidade de história que envolve e o quanto é preciso. Gosto particularmente de História do Oriente / Oriente Médio, o que me dá uma perspectiva única do que os outros quando se trata de escrever tramas e conceitos. Não quero que ninguém pense que vou chegar até eles com frases como "isso não é historicamente correto, então não quero que você jogue" porque, em última análise, entendo que se trata de um jogo de fantasia.
Gosto de romances, como os escritos de Brandon Sanderson, e me inspiro muito nas histórias que leio. (Se alguém tem boas recomendações, eu dirijo muito e o som é maravilhoso). Também quero dizer que, considerando o COVID, passei quase todo o meu tempo no meu computador e meu trabalho também é nele.
Goals:
I am currently on Team Assamite under Chase and I have been working with him on some things that could prove to be good for the Salubri.
Goal 1 - Independent Salubri Involvement; the independent genre for Salubri has been something that players have been trying to engage with for years but they have been doing it with Sabbat PCs. Covid-19 has shown us that we can create engaging atmospheres for players in online formats, providing us with whole new ways to enjoy our game. I will be working with Team Assamite to further the connection between the two clans and create some new avenues for being a part of this aspect of the global story.
Goal 2 - Maintain Consistency; I hope to work with Zac and the current team to get on track as quickly as possible to minimize any transition pains.
Goal 3 - Create Compelling Story; I want to work with storytellers and players to create an engaging and comprehensive story with interesting character concepts. I also want to work harder on keeping those with older concepts relevant in the current story.
I look forward to actively collaborating with other coordinators to best deliver a deep and meaningful story to all players of OWbN, not just those who play Salubri.
I am happy to talk to anybody about my thoughts and goals as a coordinator, but I won't know a lot about specific goals with the Salubri until I have spoken with the current team.

Estou atualmente no Team Assamite sob Chase e tenho trabalhado com ele em algumas coisas que podem ser boas para os Salubri.
Meta 1 - Envolvimento Independente de Salubri; o gênero independente para Salubri tem sido algo com o qual os jogadores têm tentado se engajar por anos, mas eles têm feito isso com os PCs do Sabá. A Covid-19 nos mostrou que podemos criar ambientes envolventes para os jogadores em formatos online, proporcionando-nos maneiras totalmente novas de desfrutar do nosso jogo. Estarei trabalhando com a Equipe Assamite para promover a conexão entre os dois clãs e criar alguns novos caminhos para fazer parte deste aspecto da história global.
Meta 2 - Manter consistência; Espero trabalhar com Zac e a equipe atual para entrar no caminho o mais rápido possível e minimizar quaisquer dores de transição.
Objetivo 3 - Criar uma história atraente; Eu quero trabalhar com contadores de histórias e jogadores para criar uma história envolvente e abrangente com conceitos de personagem interessantes. Eu também quero trabalhar mais para manter aqueles com conceitos mais antigos relevantes na história atual.
Estou ansioso para colaborar ativamente com outros coordenadores para melhor entregar uma história profunda e significativa para todos os jogadores de OWbN, não apenas para aqueles que jogam Salubri.
Fico feliz em falar com qualquer pessoa sobre meus pensamentos e objetivos como coordenador, mas não saberei muito sobre objetivos específicos com o Salubri até ter falado com a equipe atual.
