Introduction and Background:

I have been an active player in One World By Night for 15 years and a Storyteller for 4.  During that time I have traveled to various regions Org and made solid friendships that simply never would have happened without the interconnectivity of One World by Night.  While it is true that I have my own preferences regarding game style, I understand that the role of a Coordinator is to facilitate all styles of play, regardless of region.

In real life, I work in retail and hold a Bachelor’s degree in History from Muhlenberg College.  This has led me to have strong interpersonal skills and I find little difficulty in interacting with people in a respectful and professional fashion.  I hold myself to particularly high standards when it comes to these areas, which usually results in an outcome that all parties are amenable to.

Sou jogador ativo do One World By Night há 15 anos e contador de histórias há 4 anos. Durante esse período, viajei para várias regiões da Org e fiz amizades sólidas que simplesmente nunca teriam acontecido sem a interconectividade do One World by Night. Embora seja verdade que tenho minhas próprias preferências em relação ao estilo de jogo, entendo que o papel de um coordenador é facilitar todos os estilos de jogo, independentemente da região.

Na vida real, trabalho no varejo e sou bacharel em História pelo Muhlenberg College. Isso me levou a ter fortes habilidades interpessoais e tenho pouca dificuldade em interagir com as pessoas de maneira respeitosa e profissional. Eu me mantenho em padrões particularmente altos quando se trata dessas áreas, o que geralmente resulta em um resultado ao qual todas as partes são receptivas.

Personal Statement:

My experiences as a Storyteller in OWbN have familiarized me with the behind-the-scenes working at the Chronical level. Being a Subcoord taught me more about the wider workings of OWbN as a whole.  I believe that all of this experience has put me in a position where I am equipped to handle the demands of a Coordinator office, specifically adjudicating the acquisition of rare powers, assisting Players further their personal storylines, and the portrayal of Coord-level NPCs.

To me, Protean is the most important word in Gangrel genre.  Not simply the Discipline, but the ability of their blood to change and adapt.  There are more Gangrel bloodlines than any other clan because of their protean nature and their constant struggle to adapt to their surroundings and survive them.

That said, more than any other clan, Gangrel genre in OWbN has been shaped by the players.  There is such a rich tradition in this clan that exists nowhere else.  I want to help shepherd that tradition along and assist the genre to grow and change as the players of OWbN shape it.  I believe strongly that Player agency is essential in shared Storytelling and rather than control the clan from on high, I want to actively assist players in telling great stories that make even better memories.  Additionally, I want to make sure that STs have the proper tools they need to run Gangrel stories, be they PC or NPC.  After all, a good story needs a good Storyteller.

Because Gangrel genre is so wide, I want to ensure that every Gangrel player can have access to it, regardless of region or sect.  Whether they are Camarilla, Anarch, or Sabbat, I want to help each player enrich their story by being able to interact with their clan.  And this goes double for our Brazillian players.  I want to be able to hear from all corners of Gangrel genre so that the good can be made better and those trouble areas receive the attention they need.  I also want to support the existing yearly Gangrel event as well as aid those players interested in other regional gatherings, which are very important to the growth of the Gangrel tradition.

Lastly, I want to take a hard look at how the clan interacts with Spirits and the Umbra.  It is absolutely a part of the genre that Gangrel tend to be more spiritually attuned than other Vampires, and I want to make sure that aspect of the genre is well-represented while still maintaining appropriate Vampire/Spirit dynamics.

Minhas experiências como Narrador na OWbN me familiarizaram com os bastidores do trabalho no nível Crônico. Ser um Subcoord me ensinou mais sobre o funcionamento mais amplo da OWbN como um todo. Acredito que toda essa experiência me colocou em uma posição em que estou equipado para lidar com as demandas de um escritório de coordenador, julgando especificamente a aquisição de poderes raros, ajudando os jogadores a aprofundar suas histórias pessoais e a representação de NPCs no nível Coord.

Para mim, Protean é a palavra mais importante no gênero Gangrel. Não apenas a disciplina, mas a capacidade do sangue de mudar e se adaptar. Existem mais linhagens Gangrel do que qualquer outro clã por causa de sua natureza proteana e sua luta constante para se adaptar ao ambiente e sobreviver a eles.

Dito isto, mais do que qualquer outro clã, o gênero Gangrel em OWbN foi moldado pelos jogadores. Existe uma tradição tão rica neste clã que não existe em nenhum outro lugar. Eu quero ajudar a pastorear essa tradição e ajudar o gênero a crescer e mudar à medida que os jogadores da OWbN a moldam. Acredito firmemente que a agência de jogadores é essencial na narração compartilhada e, em vez de controlar o clã do alto, quero ajudar ativamente os jogadores a contar ótimas histórias que criam memórias ainda melhores. Além disso, quero garantir que os STs tenham as ferramentas adequadas necessárias para executar histórias do Gangrel, sejam elas PC ou NPC. Afinal, uma boa história precisa de um bom Narrador.

Como o gênero Gangrel é muito amplo, quero garantir que todos os jogadores gangrel possam ter acesso a ele, independentemente da região ou seita. Quer eles sejam Camarilla, Anarch ou Sabbat, eu quero ajudar cada jogador a enriquecer sua história, sendo capaz de interagir com seu clã. E isso vale em dobro para nossos jogadores brasileiros. Quero poder ouvir de todos os cantos do gênero Gangrel, para que o bem possa ser melhorado e essas áreas problemáticas recebam a atenção de que precisam. Também quero apoiar o evento anual Gangrel existente, bem como ajudar os jogadores interessados ​​em outras reuniões regionais, que são muito importantes para o crescimento da tradição Gangrel.

Por fim, quero dar uma olhada em como o clã interage com os Espíritos e a Umbra. É absolutamente parte do gênero que os Gangrel tendem a ser mais sintonizados espiritualmente do que outros vampiros, e quero garantir que esse aspecto do gênero esteja bem representado, mantendo as dinâmicas apropriadas de vampiros / espíritos.

Goals:

  • Ensure that the Coord office is in order and appoint Subcoords that will assist me in ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Revisit R&U that is under the auspices of the Gangrel Coord to streamline the process and help ensure that Gangrel players have access to Gangrel powers.
  • Assist Gangrel Players to tell Gangrel stories.
  • Continue work on a Clan Packet that helps flesh out more aspects of Gangrel genre and help make that genre more widely available to the players.
