You just can't keep a good (I hope!) Coordinator down!
My name is Derek Howard and I am running to be your Tzimisce Clan Coordinator. I have been the Tzimisce Clan Coordinator for...awhile now.
That being said, I still enjoy the job and would love to continue!
I have been a part of OWbN since the late 1990s and have seen this organization go through a lot in my time, both ups and downs. What a ride it has been!
For those of you that do not know me personally, I am a former Early Childhood teacher that now works in Educational Technology in the really real world. I also try to be an all around nice guy and team player for OWbN.

Meu nome é Derek Howard e eu estou correndo para ser seu coordenador do clã Tzimisce. Tenho sido o Coordenador do Clã Tzimisce por ... por algum tempo agora.
Dito isto, ainda gosto do trabalho e gostaria de continuar!
Fui parte da OWbN desde o final da década de 1990 e vi essa organização passar por muito tempo no meu tempo, tanto altos como baixos. Que passeio foi!
Para aqueles que não me conhecem pessoalmente, sou um ex-professor da Primeira Infância que agora trabalha em Tecnologia Educacional no mundo realmente real. Eu também tento ser um cara e um jogador de equipe para OWbN.
Administrative Experience:
- I am the current Tzimisce Coordinator and have been since 2010.
- I have served on Team Ventrue since 2001 and Team Sabbat from 2000-2006ish and 2010-today.
- I have also served as interim Camarilla and Sabbat Coordinator and Subcoord for the Camarilla, Clan Gangrel, and Clan Giovanni Coordinator offices over the years.
- I was one of the founding Storytellers of the Springfield, IL: Capitol City Cauldron chronicle (1999).
- I have also been a Storyteller for Caught in the Eternal Twilight (Edwardsville, IL) and served as a guest ST for several other chronicles over the years.
- I have served as a CM for several different chronicles.
- I have served as an Event Storyteller for a number of OWbN events including Ecumenical Council, Grand Masquerade, Midwinter, and Grand Elysium (Sabbat side).

Personal Statement:
After all of this time, I hope that the players and storytellers of OWbN known how much I care about Clan Tzimisce and the people that help make OWbN great. I have put over 20 years of my life into this organization, and I care about it deeply.
As Coordinators, we have a duty to the organization to help facilitate the needs of games. Sometimes this means telling people no in order to preserve the genre that we have been tasked with guarding. For the most part, however, we get to see the games come alive in their own individual way.
One of my favorite things to do as a Coordinator is getting to talk to players and hear about the amazing things that they are doing with their PCs. The personal stories make it all worth while.
Storytellers are gracious enough to let me peek behind the curtain and see what cool things they are doing in their games. I would not trade those experiences for anything.
I said this last year (and the year before that), but this organization has put a lot of faith in me over the years. I feel I have met or exceeded expectations, but I have failed you all in ways as well.
I just want to say thank you OWbN for 20+ years of memories and stories.
Personal Statement (Portuguese):
Depois de todo esse tempo, espero que os jogadores e contadores de histórias da OWbN saibam o quanto eu me preocupo com Clan Tzimisce e as pessoas que ajudam a fazer o OWbN ótimo. Coloquei mais de 20 anos da minha vida nesta organização, e eu me importo profundamente.
Como coordenadores, temos o dever para a organização ajudar a facilitar as necessidades dos jogos. Às vezes isso significa dizer às pessoas não para preservar o gênero que nos foi encarregado de proteger. Para a maior parte, no entanto, conseguimos ver os jogos ganharem vida de maneira particular.
Uma das minhas coisas favoritas para fazer como um coordenador é chegar a conversar com os jogadores e ouvir sobre as coisas incríveis que eles estão fazendo com seus PCs. As histórias pessoais fazem tudo valer a pena.
Os contadores de histórias são graciosos o suficiente para me deixar espreitar atrás da cortina e ver o que são as coisas legais que estão fazendo em seus jogos. Eu não trocaria essas experiências por nada.
Eu disse isso no ano passado (e no ano anterior), mas essa organização colocou muita fé em mim ao longo dos anos. Eu sinto que conheci ou superou as expectativas, mas também falhei em todas as maneiras.
Eu só quero dizer obrigado OWbN por mais de 20 anos de memórias e histórias.
Goals:
I have goals. Look at my huge goals!
Packet: I spent this last year going over the V20 material and making some informed desicions about them. It was my hope to get a packet update out already, but that did not happen and I apologize. I have began the process and you all should see something soon. April hopefully.
Clan Genre: I am still working on getting some clan items going. "Project Voivode" seems to be working itself out nicely, with some good RP conflict going. Several games have reached out to me about local plots that I am really excited about helping with. I still want to get some love going for the families. I am also happy to report that that koldun balance seems to be righting itself.
Rare and Unusual/Approval Items: Soon after elections, should I be re-elected, I will be opening up dialoge about changing the approvals of many of the Tzimisce Combo powers. I am also still working out the details with the Sabbat Coordinator in regards to some other items, specifically the Shadow Crusade.
Response Time: Due to the nature of my real life job, my responses are often in fits and starts. This last year I brought on a Subcoordinator. Now that he is fully acclamated, I will be giving him more responsebilities that will help to insure faster response times.
Dracula: He still loves you. He still loves your childer. You should call him more. He misses you.

Goals (Portuguese):
Tenho metas. Olhe para meus grandes objetivos!
Pacote: Passei o ano passado passando pelo material V20 e fazendo algumas dessicões informadas sobre eles. Era minha esperança obter uma atualização de pacotes já, mas isso não aconteceu e peço desculpas. Comecei o processo e todos vocês deveriam ver algo em breve. Abril, espero.
Clan Gênero: Ainda estou trabalhando para obter alguns itens do clã. "Project Voivode" parece estar funcionando bem, com alguns bons conflitos de RP. Vários jogos chegaram a mim sobre as parcelas locais com as quais estou realmente entusiasmada com a ajuda. Eu ainda quero ter um pouco de amor para as famílias. Também estou feliz em informar que esse equilíbrio koldun parece estar se endireitando.
Itens raros e incomuns / Aprovação: logo após as eleições, devo ser reeleito, vou abrir diálogo sobre mudar as aprovações de muitos dos poderes Combo Tzimisce. Eu ainda estou trabalhando os detalhes com o Coordenador do Sabá em relação a alguns outros itens, especificamente a Cruzada das Sombras.
Tempo de Resposta: Devido à natureza do meu trabalho na vida real, minhas respostas são muitas vezes em ajustes. No ano passado, trouxe um subconfigurador. Agora que ele está totalmente aclamado, estarei dando-lhe mais responsabilidades de resposta que ajudarão a garantir tempos de resposta mais rápidos.
Dracula: Ele ainda te ama. Ele ainda ama seu filho. Você deveria chamá-lo mais. Ele sente sua falta.
