Introduction and Background:

I most sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this application for the office of Anarch

Coordinator for One World by Night for the ensuing term. For those who do not know me, my name is Bruce Lindsay. I am the current Coordinator of to the Anarch Genre and have been since 2014. Let’s go for a 4th Term shall we??

 

Anarch Genre has been a passion for me ever since I started playing in this organization. I fondly remember presenting permission slips so I could LARP even before I could legally buy cigarettes.

My formative years were dotted with PC death and a wide range of characters running the gambit of Sects and Clans. It was through this that an appreciation for an over arching org was formed.

Without this conglomeration of games I would not have been able to regularly play locally or travel to multiple games ranging from Springfield (Mass.), Hartford, LONE, EOTR Boston,

Allentown or KONY. This organization has brought me to many conventions and event gamed from most recently at Punk Undead to Glitter and Gloom and the Anarch Event hosted by UTR.

While game occupied a large portion of my time I am always ready to lend an ear, share advice and answer questions. My chosen career has me glued to my computer screen which makes me easily reachable. Thankfully my laid-back nature helps with mediation and approachability.

Eu gostaria de agradecer por tirar um tempo para ler esta aplicação para o escritório da Coord Anarch da OWBN para este novo período. Para aqueles que não me conhecem, meu nome é Bruce Lindsey, eu sou o atual Coord Anarch e venho sido desde 2014. Então vamos para o nosso quarto ano seguido?

O gênero anarquista tem sido uma paixão minha desde que eu começei a jogar na org. Lembro-me com carinho de mostrar minha requisição para poder jogar LARP quando eu nem tinha idade para comprar cigarros.

Meus anos de formação começaram com mortes de personagens e experimentações de vários outros personagens de vários tipos de seitas e clãs. Foi por meio disso que surgiu uma grande apreciação minha pela Org por ter essa abrangência de gêneros.

Sem este conglomerado de tipos de jogos eu não teria sido capaz de jogar regularmente localmente, ou viajar para várias outras crônicas que vão desde Springfield ( Mass), Hartford, LONE, EOTR Boston, Allentown ou KONY. A Org me trouxe vários eventos importantes no qual pude participar desde o mais recente o evento “Punk Undead” até o “Glitter and Gloom” e o Evento Anarch realizado pela crônica UTR.

O jogo ocupa grande parte do meu tempo, mas eu sempre estou disponível para aconselhar, ouvir, compartilhar meus conhecimentos e responder as perguntas que me fazem. A carreira profissional que escolhi me faz ficar grudado em uma tela de computador o que torna mais fácil ser acessível, felizmente meu jeito descontraído ajuda para que e possa sempre mediar essa acessibilidade entre o trabalho e a org.

Within OWBN:

Head\Founding Storyteller of UTR- 8+ Years - Current (Non consecutive, Short Gaps)

• Developed the Player Survey

• Moderating the IC List, revitalizing how it operates to encourage national play

• Managed Team objectives and projects

• Worked with chronicles who wanted Canon NPCs to ensure continuity

• Developed all proposals sent out regarding Line Edits and Packet revisions

• Handled the Approval Process for Non Anarchs learning Combo Powers.

• Compiled all Canon Anarch NPCs into one document.

• Worked with games across the country to integrate their story into others.

• Assisted games with the conversion of primary genera focus.

• Continue to run very vivid online scenes with people.

• Worked with Players to start Traderbots

• Ran the biggest Anarch Event to date in NY, and Prepping for this coming years also!

• Worked closely with Many coordinators to make sure Anarch Genre was well represented

in several Council pass Plots.

• Helped with the New Player Mentorship Program

• Engaged in the VLog CoC discussion

• Made Some Google Forms for Volunteers

• Engaged the Community with methods to bring on new players

• Assisted Games with development ideas for new recruitment methods

• Reached out to assist games experiencing drops in attendance to revitalize their game

Well versed in the proper citations and wording of Council Proposals.

Outside of OWBN (volunteer-based):

Ran a 5 Year D&D campaign and RPG Club through the recreation center in my community in my teens.

Inherited a troupe Vampire Game and ran it for 3 years in my Late Teens-Early 20’s, which

networked with other troupes forming a Mini-OWBN until general interest was lost and players all

went their separate ways.

Outside of OWBN (career):

My early adolescent and young adult years had me working Retail and Managing, Waiting, and Bartending in restaurants. I’ve since moved to what I keep telling myself is a

better career option, managing a department of about 12 Paralegals and Legal Aids for a Collections Law Firm. This past year, I was promoted to Manager of Operations for the entire company.  The skills I’ve learned in the service industry, combined with the skills of being firm and to the point from my current line of work, will better my ability to be prompt,

courteous, and still accomplish goals, maintain an impartial position, manage others, and get the job done at task.

Personal Statement:

I’d like for you all to consider this application based off its Merit, or what you think the qualities a Coordinator, specifically the Anarch Coordinator should possess. If you feel I am the right candidate for the position you will vote as such. It is a volunteer position, I understand that. What I would like the voters to know is, that I have always held a Coord to a certain level of

accountability and responsibility(CoC or not), and will not allow myself to maintain a position if I know I can’t match my own expectations of what it entails. I have successfully held this position for 3 years already and understand the demands of it well. I hold myself to a high level of responsiveness and expect the same from my team.

In this role I have worked tirelessly to advocate for the genre collaborating with multiple games, events and conventions to push the plots and packets that have passed. I have worked to bring

magic into the movement and to revise and update the current Anarch Packet (look for it's completion in the spring- This time I promise!). My network of subcoords span North and South America allowing a finger to be kept on the pulse of the Anarch movement within OwbN.

Fora da OWBN (Voluntário):

Realizei por 5 anos uma campanha de D&D e RPG club através do centro de recreação da minha comunidade na minha adolescência.

Herdei um grupo de jogadores de vampiro no final da minha adolescência, aos 20 anos, que correu por 3 anos, os jogos eram feitos com outros games formando assim uma Mini-OWBN, até que o interesse pessoal foi sendo perdido e os jogadores foram tomando rumos diferentes.

Fora da OWBN ( carreira ) :

Meus primeiros anos de adolescente até jovem adulto trabalhei com gestão de varejo, e também como garçom em restaurantes. Depois mudei de profissão do qual vivo dizendo a mim mesmo que é a melhor opção de carreira, gerenciando um escritório de advocacia. No ano passado fui promovido a gerente de operações de toda a empresa. As habilidades que aprendi no setor de serviço combinadas com minhas habilidades de gestão firme são o ponto alto da minha linha de trabalho atualmente, melhorou bastante minha habilidade de tomar decisões rápidas, ser cortês, cumprir metas, manter uma posição imparcial e gerenciar os outros para manter a qualidade do serviço.

Gostaria que todos que forem ler esta aplicação se baseasse em seus méritos, no que você acha que um Coord deve possuir para está no cargo, mais especificamente o Coord Anarch. Se você sentir eu sou a pessoa ideal para o cargo, você votará como tal. É uma posição voluntária, eu entendo isso. O que eu gostaria que os eleitores soubessem é que eu sempre tive uma visão de responsabilidade (CoC ou não), e não me permitiria ficar em uma posição que eu sei que não daria conta. Tenho realizado este trabalho a 3 anos então já sei bem das demandas do trabalho, eu me mantenho em um alto nível de responsabilidade e espero o mesmo dos membros da minha equipe.

Neste papel eu trabalhei duro para encorajar o gênero com vários jogos, eventos e convenções e dá um empurrão nos plots e packets que foram aprovados. Eu trabalhei muito duro para trazer o packet de Magia para o movimento e para atualizar o packet anarch atual ( estará pronto na primavera, eu prometo). Meu time de subcoords se estendem da América do Norte e Sul permitindo que o time o movimento anarquista tenha participação em toda a OWBN.

Goals:

My Goals are many, only time and Council will tell, but these are my missions:

Revise Binding Anarch Packet:

This project has been in the works for some time now. It is nearing its completion with just some

final polishing up before being presented to Council for voting. This will include more in depth

write-ups for the political affiliations, reputations and dirty little Anarch tricks.

Anarch PLOT:

There are several plots still milling through the org as a whole, and I seek to give them the guidance so the plots may be wrapped up. My network of subcoords will help disseminate and

spread it throughout the games so that anyone who wishes to get involved in org level plot has the opportunity. I plan on working closely with the Camarilla Coord on the full integration of Loyal Opposition within both of our Genres.

Continue Modernize the Movement:

The Anarchs as a whole are the ones who are supposed to have the technological edge against the other Vampires because of their youth, and their drive. I’ll be providing articles and general “How To’s” to STs who want to begin granting those players of Anarchs who are entrenched in Technology to give those players the edge they deserve and yet not upset the masquerade. Just as we live in an ever changing and expanding world of technology so do the PCs, I seek to keep up with modern advancements. By working with Storytellers with Hacking Rules and other technological aspects of the WoD, I plan on encouraging younger concepts with certain edges that make being an Anarch a fun sect to play.

Curses and Magic:

 

I have kept my promise and not proliferated the Anarch Magics to an unmanageable point. Rolling into this term we are just about concluded what we planned on rolling out regarding the 4 Waves and now I will leave it to PC agency, mostly, as to how they expand.

 

Laibon:

I have assembled a team of experts and we have a pretty good grasp on what we want to roll out this year, including a Packet and Plot proposal. We’re just waiting until after elections.

Revisar o anarch packet:

Este projeto está em andamento faz algum tempo, está apenas precisando de retoques finais antes de mandar a solicitação para o council para a votação. Irá incluir mais profundidade na explicação das afiliações políticas dentro do movimento, reputações e um pouco de truques sujos.

Plot Anarch:

Existem vários plots em andamento na org, e eu procuro sempre dar orientações para que os plots sejam bem sucedidos. Meu time de subcoords ajudará para que os plots se espalhem ao longo dos jogos em que as pessoas queiram participar, todos da org terão a oportunidade de se envolver na trama. Pretendo trabalhar com estreitas colaboração do coord camarilla sobre a implementação da Oposição Leal dentro dos nossos gêneros.

Continuando a modernizar o movimento:

Os anarquistas como um todo são jovens e por isso tem uma vantagem com tecnologia muitos mais do que os vampiros de outras seitas. Estarei fornecendo artigos de “ Como fazer” aos narradores que queiram dar vantagens merecidas a jogadores que exploram esta área, e como não quebrar a máscara. Pois assim como vivemos em um mundo onde os avanços da tecnologia acontecem muito rápido e acompanhamos este processo os personagens também acompanham. Planejo encorajar os narradores a mostrarem um lado mais jovem e divertido do movimento anarquista.

Maldições e Magias:

Eu mantive minha promessa de não proliferar as magias a um ponto incontrolável. Passado este tempo, estamos quase concluindo o que planejamos em relação a 4 waves e agora vou deixar os PCs encarregados de lidar como eles próprios se expandem.

Eu reuni uma boa equipe para que possamos ter uma ótima compreensão sobre o que queremos lançar este ano, isto incluindo propostas de Plots e genre packets. Estamos apenas esperando as eleições passarem.
