Introduction Statement & Modus Operandi

As many of you know, I announced my candidacy for Tremere Coord. However, I decided to support Tessa as Tremere Coord and focus my energy on an Office that seemed at that time to have a gap of good candidates on ballot, and thus support the org in a better way. This is my first application as Coordinator of OWbN, I thought a lot about it before making my decision. Out of the game I have my responsibilities and I pondered much on how to balance everything in harmony.

 

I love admin work and want to contribute to the org, and so I'm in the race for AHC 16-17 term. I handle my administrative activities in OWbN in an assertive, professional and transparent manner, these values are what I will guard and try to practice during my tenure. Trying to engage our community being participatory and constantly search for commitment and positive attitude, as when we were a community of young people fresh out of adolescence and when many of us met the OWbN.

 

But Bruno, how is your fluency in english? I'm certainly not as fluent with english as Maja, Elzo and Daniel Desastrado, who many are familiar with. I read english very well and I can understand spoken dialogue, I don’t believe that language barrier will be a problem, as it has not been in all the interactions that I have like  member of staffs that I belong. By the way, I am very good in portuguese. Most of brazilian players do not speak english and we are an international community, the native language of many of our players is the same as mine and I can play an important role dropping this language wall. Damn, Bruno, you are very full of himself saying that is very good in portuguese! No, my friend, believe me, I can gain a drubbing at home: my father is a journalist, my mother is a journalist, my uncle is a journalist, my godmother is a journalist, two cousins are journalists. All from the written media, some are teachers. There’s so much pressure to live up to their standards, it’s so hard…. SNIFF, the pressure!... Okay, I’m done now.  Hehe.

Introdução e Modus Operandi

Como todos vocês sabem (ou a maioria sabe), eu anunciei minha candidatura para Coord Tremere. Contudo, eu decidi apoiar a Tessa para Coord Tremere e focar minha energia em uma coord que parecia, naquele momento, ter uma gap de bons candidatos e, assim, apoiar a org de uma maneira melhor. Essa é minha primeira candidatura como Coordenador do OWbN, pensei bastante sobre isso antes de tomar minha decisão. Fora do jogo eu tenho minhas responsabilidades e ponderei muito em como equilibrar tudo com harmonia.

 

Eu amo trabalho administrativo e quero contribuir ao org, e por isso eu estou na corrida para o mandato de 16-17 de AHC. Eu baseio minhas atividades administrativas no OWbN em uma conduta assertiva, profissional e transparente, é isso que defenderei e tentarei praticar durante meu mandato. Tentando engajar na nossa comunidade sendo participativo e em constante busca por comprometimento e atitude positiva, como quando éramos uma comunidade de jovens recém saídos da adolescência e quando muitos de nós conhecemos o OWbN.

 

Mas Bruno, e o seu nível de inglês? Eu com certeza não tenho o mesmo nível de inglês de outros brasileiros que os americanos estão acostumados à lidar, como Maja, Elzo e Daniel Desastrado. Entretanto, eu leio bem e me faço entender, não acredito que a barreira do idioma será um problema, como não tem sido em todas as interações que tenho como membro dos staff que faço parte. Por falar nisso, eu sou muito bom em português. A maioria dos jogadores do Brasil não falam inglês e somos uma comunidade internacional, o idioma nativo de muitos dos nossos jogadores é o mesmo que o meu e eu posso exercer um papel importante derrubando esse muro do idioma. Porra, Bruno, você é muito convencido dizendo que muito bom em português! Não, meu amigo, acredite, eu apanharia em casa: meu pai é jornalista, minha mãe é jornalista, meu tio é jornalista, minha madrinha é jornalista, um primo e uma prima são jornalistas. Todos da mídia escrita, alguns são professores. Não é fácil a pressão, eu preciso contar que foi muito difícil, SNIF, a pressão... OK, parei.

Personal Statement:

I’m a 34 years old guy, married with a teenage son. I was born in Brasilia, capital of Brazil, but lived in many towns in the country: São João da Barra/RJ, Curitiba/PR, back to Brasília/DF, Bento Gonçalves/RS, Porto Alegre/RS, Campinas/SP and finally São Paulo/SP, where I have lived since 2007. As for my job I’m an IT Manager with experience in Solutions Architecture for Applications in the Telecom and Media industry. It makes me a very reasonable and able to debate numerous topics. A lot of my experience in life has prepared me for how to deal with people and project management.

 

Talking about RPGs, when I had the opportunity to learn this game I fell in love with it. Everything was like a hurricane, and although I have lost count of the systems and genres I’ve both played and STed I can say that most of my experience comes from the org and WoD genre on table-top system: Vampire and Werewolf. Since I started in the org at 2002, I fully embraced Vampire’s mood and have tried to continuously improve my knowledge.

A pessoa Bruno Benitz

Eu sou um cara de 34 anos, casado e com um filho adolescente. Nasci em Brasília, capital do Brasil, mas morei em muitas cidades do país: São João da Barra/RJ, Curitiba/PR, de volta à Brasília/DF, Bento Gonçalves/RS, Porto Alegre/RS, Campinas/SP e finalmente São Paulo/SP, onde vivo desde 2007. No meu trabalho eu sou um gerente de TI com grande experiência com Arquitetura de Soluções para Aplicações da indústria de mída e telecom. Isso me faz uma pessoa razoável e argumentativa, com experiência em negociações, pessoas e projetos. Afinal, as minhas metas acima são o meu projeto para meu mandato.

 

Falando sobre RPG, quando tive a oportunidade de conhecer o jogo eu me apaixonei e tudo foi como um furacão, apesar de eu ter perdido a conta dos sistemas e gêneros que eu tenha jogado ou narrado, eu posso dizer que a maior parte da minha experiência vem do próprio org e gênero WoD em sistema de mesa, Vampiros e Lobisomens. Desde que eu comecei no org em 2002, eu abracei totalmente o clima de Vampiro e tenho tentado melhorar continuamente meu conhecimento.

Goals:

  • Management & Positivism Engagement

    • SLA: Reply emails within 3 days.

      • I am a very "online" person and have constant access to email by the computer or cell phone. I usually answer emails daily.

      • If you can not answer an email within the established SLA, I'm will define and report an expectation when I will send a complete answer.

    • Constant search for a positive attitude, even when in conflict management.

      • I admit, sometimes I act like Pollyanna and "The Glad Game".

    • Conflict resolution in a friendly and fair, providing transparency and commitment to the welfare of the org in general.

  • OWbN as a legal entity

    • This org already shown the desire to become an entity in any way. I will support the HC in conducting this issue, is to realize it or to discard the idea.

      • Make it feasible taking caring the international character of OWbN.

  • Language barrier

    • Bilingual Administrative Material

      • Translate to pt-br our three existing bylaws.

      • Working in simultaneous translation to the writing/revision of materials such as bylaws or code of conduct.

  • Support the Head Coordinator

    • If Violet needs, I will send diapers by Fedex for Nick.

    • Present myself for players, STs and CMs with availability to assist in their doubts as to deal with the Exec-Team.

 

Goals (Portuguese):

  • Gestão e Compromisso Positivista

    • SLA: Responder e-mails em até 3 dias.

      • Eu sou uma pessoa muito “online”, tenho acesso constante ao e-mail pelo computador ou pelo celular. Em geral eu respondo e-mails diariamente.

      • Se não for possível responder um e-mail no SLA estabelecido, definir e informar uma expectativa de quando enviarei uma resposta completa.

    • Busca constante de uma atitude positiva, mesmo quando em resolução de conflitos

      • Eu admito, as vezes ajo como a Pollyanna e o jogo do contente

    • Resolução de conflitos de forma amigável e justa, fornecendo transparência e compromisso com o bem estar da org de forma geral.

  • OWbN como pessoa jurídica

    • Essa org já demonstrou o desejo para se tornar uma entidade de alguma forma. Apoiarei o HC na condução desse tema, seja para realizarmos isso ou para descartar a idéia.

      • Tornar isso viável levando em consideração o caráter internacional do OWbN.

  • Barreira do Idioma
