Introduction and Background:

I live on the East Coast of the United States, just outside of Washington DC, and it's a great place to take care of a lot of things (geospatially located to be good for facilitating work with both the US West Coast and Brazil.)

I am online most days for more than 10-12 hours. Yes, I know it's sad. :)

I possess a B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland, College Park, and I am pursuing my M.A. in IT Systems Architecture, and will complete it soon.

Eu vivo na Costa Leste dos Estados Unidos, logo ao redor de Washington DC e é um excelente lugar para tomar conta de muitas coisas (bem localizado espacialmente para ajudar a facilitar trabalho tanto com a Costa Oeste quanto com o Brasil)

Estou online na maior parte dos dias por mais de 10-12 horas. Sim, eu sei, é triste. :)

Através dos últimos 16 anos joguei com vários personagens, mas devo dizer que os dois que mais marcaram foram os meus atuais, Jonathan Giovanni (antes conhecido como Johnny G ou Johnny Gwynn) e Slink X (Nosferatu).

Personal Statement:

Hi! My name is Rojir, for those of you who might not know me. I have been a part of this organization since 1998. I have traveled all over North America (apologies to our games in other countries, haven't had the opportunity yet), taking part in games wherever I landed, and have had a great time, experienced a lot of different styles of play, and overall, had a great time.

I took a break from Coordinating to focus on assisting early development education with my daughter. I was recently elected interim Camarilla Coordinator, and I wish great luck to whomever decides to pursue this position in the future, it is not an easy one, and I applaud the effort. At this time, I feel that the best contribution I can make to the organization is an Administrative one. I feel the organization right now needs someone at the Head Coordinator position who can work with anyone, can listen, and can lead. For that reason, I've decided I'd like to return to the Executive Team.

I was previously an Assistant Head Coordinator, under D. Scott Stewart and Jenn Bahrs. During that time, I worked with Jenn, D. Scott, and Geoff Combs to help facilitate the administration of the organization. I worked with games, ST's, I helped to coordinate event games, I worked to resolve and mediate differences between individuals and groups. My college background, as well as work with joint organizations in my professional life, has given me a great deal of experience working with various groups of people. My time as an AHC, and then as a Camarilla Coordinator was also quite useful in further development of teamwork skills, coordination, and mediation.

Olá! Meu nome é Rojir, para aqueles de vocês que podem não me conhecer. Sou parte desta organização desde 1998. Viajei por toda a América do Norte (desculpas aos nossos jogos em outros países, não tive ainda a oportunidade), participando de jogos onde quer que seja que eu aterrissasse e me diverti bastante, vivi diferentes estilos de jogo e, de forma geral, aproveitei bastante.

Tirei férias de Coordenar para focar em ajudar com o início do desenvolvimento da educação da minha filha. Fui recentemente eleito Coordenador Camarilla interino e desejo muita sorte a quem decidir seguir por esta posição no futuro, não é fácil e aplaudo o esforço. Nesta ocasião, sinto que a melhor contribuição que posso fazer para a organização é de forma Administrativa. Sinto que a organização agora precisa de alguém na posição de Head Coordinator que possa trabalhar com todos, escutar e liderar. Por esta razão, decidi que gostaria de retornar ao Executive Team.

Fui previamente Assistant Head Coordinator sob D. Scott Stewart e Jenn Bahrs. Durante esta época, trabalhei com Jenn, D. Scott e Geoff Combs para ajudar a facilitar a administração da organização. Trabalhei com jogos, STs e ajudei a coordenar eventos. Trabalhei para resolver e mediar diferenças entre indivíduos e grupos. Meu histórico na universidade bem como organizações conjuntas na minha vida profissional me deu grande experiência em trabalhar com grupos variados de pessoas. Meu tempo como AHC e depois como Coordenador Camarilla também foi bastante útil no desenvolvimento de habilidades de trabalhar em grupo, coordenar e mediar.

Goals:

Coordinators are NOT ST's. Each game has its own idea, based on the vision of the Storytellers, about what is "genre" and what "the rules" are. And while I'm all for ST's invoking the Golden Rule, I am definitely in favor of a shared perspective of genre. After all, why network all these games and GAMERS together if we don't want to share an environment?

To that end, it is my intent to continue to work closely with all of the Coordinator Team to facilitate great interaction between Chronicles, Coordinators, and Event Staffs. It is also my intention to work to help facilitate the changes that our organization wants to see.

Over the last few years, I've seen a lot of people become very jaded, whether they be players, ST's, or Coordinators. Those of you who've met me can tell that I'm not one who breaks easily, and I believe my experience as an OWbN ST and Administrator illustrate that.

Goals (Portuguese):

Coordenadores não são STs. Cada jogo tem uma idéia, baseada na visão dos Narradores, sobre o que seja "gênero" e sobre quais são as "regras". E embora eu seja totalmente a favor de STs usarem a regra de ouro, eu sou definitivamente a favor de uma perspectiva compartilhada de gênero. Afinal de contas, porque criar uma rede com todos esses jogos e JOGADORES juntos se não queremos compartilhar um ambiente?

Para este fim, é minha intenção continuar a trabalhar junto com toda a Equipe de Coordenadores para facilitar grandes interações entre Crônicas, Coordenadores e Staffs de Eventos. Também é minha intenção trabalhar para facilitar as mudanças que a nossa organização quer ver.

Através dos últimos anos, vi muitas pessoas se tornarem muito exaustos, sejam eles jogadores, STs ou Coordenadores. Aqueles de vocês que eu conheci pode dizer que não sou um que quebra fácil e acredito que minha experiência como ST da OwbN e Administrador ilustra isso.
