2015 - Follower's of Set - Samantha Swanson
Introduction and Background:
I have been a member of One World by Night since my Junior year of High School back in 2002. I was first introduced to the game through Milwaukee: Nocturnal Rapture under Anne Zellmer. Being sixteen and a theater dork at the time, LARPing fascinated me. Ever since then I have been an active player with in the Org and in the past seven years I have become an active contributor to the administrative side of One World by Night. Through out my time in the org I have traveled across the US, sadly I have not made it west of Iowa but I have traveled from Iowa east across the midwest and then up and down the east close as far north as Conneticut and as far down as Orlando, Florida.
In my time I have played outcasts, city and sept position holders, and through all that I've met some banging awesome people, many of whom have become friends and even family. In recent years, I decided to give back to the Org that has given me so much fun and some of my best friends. After returning from school on the East Coast I joined the staff of Chicago: Dark Requiem working with Jimmy Reckitt. Durring my tenure under Jimmy as one of his ASTs, I was eased into the back side of the Org and what all Staffs and Coords really have to do in order for players to have this expansive and awesome network of games to play in. From there my active involvement in the administrative side of OWbN has only grown and expanded, to the point that I am now actively on two different Coord Teams as well as serving as a CM for one of my local Garou games.
Introduction and Background (Portuguese):
Administrative Experience:
In the past seven years I have been working on the administrative side of the organization, I have had a chance to experience the workings of more then a few teams and see what methods did and didn't work in my opinion. Below are a list of the off the top of my head, games and teams I have worked for since becoming active as an administrator of the global story we tell in OWBN.
CM Enigmas of Rage 2012-Current
CM Chicago Dark Requiem 2009-2011
ST Chicago Dark Requiem 2008-2011
ST Chicago New Moon Rising 2009-2010
ST Kenosha Memento Mori 2012-2013
Changing Breeds Team 2011 and 2014 - Current
In both instances my work revolved around communicating and helping others with their grasp on the Genre as well as, in 2011 the potential bringing in of nWoD stuff complete with conversions.
Web Team 2010 - Current
On the web team, my primary job has always been the handling of Chronicle Information Forms. While handling this position it has been my job to make sure that games update their information on the website so that the players and STs of the ORG have an as up to date listing as possible for who runs what games. Along with handling this I was responsible for ensuring that the master list of game information (IE who the HST, AST and CMs for a given game) that was kept as a Google Document so that quick referencing could be done when the calls for CIF were put out. Now, with the awesome new website, my job is to look over CIFs and then publish them if changes were made.
Assamite Team 2010 - 2011
During this time, my job was fairly fast and loose. I was the editor of emails for other team members to ensure that the emails came off polite and courteous, some times I handled NPCs via Email and at event games I would some times play one of these NPCs.
Demon Team 2011
While on the Demon team, it was my job to review applicants for Baali PCs and either approve or deny them as well as help work with staffs to come up with the proper Pacts for their pcs to ensure that the PC was paying the proper price for what ever the Demon was giving him/her.
Outside of my time in OWBN I have worked as a head lighting designer on half a dozen shows and crew for more shows than I can remember. I have managed to start a small but successful business of my own working with local companies to expand my client base and increase from one to two lessons for horse back riding a week to an average of twenty lessons a week.

Personal Statement:
Durring my time as a player of a Setite, and then after as a friend of Setite players and a story teller to them I have seen the clan become very stagnant. The clan as a whole has become disjointed and disconnected and one of the biggest problems is communication on a national level both between players and between the coordinating staff and the players. This to me is the most important thing that I believe needs to be adressed. Change and growth for the clan cannot happen if the lines of communication are not there. To this end I plan to reach out to the staffs of the org to help rebuild those lines of communication including putting a call out to the storytellers so that the team can get everything brought up to date that is in limbo or that has fallen through the cracks. That will probably take up my first month in office. Once the pending items are resolved and communication has been restored to some degree I plan to then start working with the staffs to learn the goals, projects and desires of the players in their games. Once I have an idea of what the players are looking for and needing from my staff I will begin the process of incorperating it into the clan as a whole, for good or ill, as not all things PCs and NPCs do is for good.
There are many avenues to persue when it comes to this step including assisting staffs in crafting local plot and if needed, crafting national plot in concert with the game(s) where it is spawning from to bring to the rest of the organization. One of the things that I plan to do to help encourage the new plots, both locally and nationally is changing the R&U status of many things, adjusting rarities and incorperating the custom content that players have built themselves. I hope that through assisting the local storytellers and bringing up to the national level things that they are running locally it will begin to encourage the players to again communicate better and open up greater RP opertunities for everyone involved.
Beyond that, I want to see the packets brought up to date, reach out to other teams to help boost theiri work as it pertains to the Setites and encourage the players to be creative in how they explore their world of personal horror.
Personal Statement (Portuguese):
Goals:
1. Look over the packets that we currently have out for the Org and update them where needed. Three out of four of these packets have not been updated since 2011
2. Work with Team Sabbat to put out a Serpent of the Light packet that will help bring the Serpents into the Sabbat more.
3. Adjust rarities such as the Apostate Merrit. I as a story teller over the years have seen the difficulties that players have gone through trying to achieve this and witnessed first hand how difficult it can be to convey the story that the character has progressed through to the point of being worthy of being an Apostate.
4. Improve turn around times on Emails. Over the years, as a setite player, an ST and friend of Setite players I have seen it take months or longer to get responses from the team from some players while other players can get them in a matter of hours. This needs to change so that everyone has a quick turn around time.
5. Work with Storytellers across the nation to bring more of the Setites together and communicate. Many players, while playing Setites have turned away from the clan because of a lack of anything to draw them into their clan on more then a local level.
6. Start incorperation the national level projects that players are working on so that their goals and projects actually have an affect on the clan at large.
7. Stream line approval processes so that they are easier to keep track of and get responces to.
