Introduction and Background:

Hello!  My name is Emily, and prior to my decision to run for Brujah Coordinator I have been active in the org for about 10 years.  I have spent most of these years in various Storyteller and administrative positions in various games as well as working as a subcoord. I was elected half way through the term last year to take over as Brujah Coordinator and have decided to run again. I spend quite a bit of time trying to keep information on the teams I am part of organized by creating spreadsheets and databases.  I have helped organize Nonclave for the past 4 years both ICly and OOCly and for three years I have taken up the mantle of t-shirt preorders.  I have also been a narrator for the event for the past three years as well as sheet admin for several years.

Administrative Experience:

  • Local Administration: I was a storyteller in Winchester, VA off and on for several years both during their initial acceptance into the org as well as after they had established themselves in OWBN.  I also served as the Player Representative as well as Admin Storyteller (keeping the character database up to date and keeping logs of all XP spends).  I served as Admin Storyteller in SMD for nearly three years.  I was also the Admin Storyteller for NVA for nearly two years.

Regional Administration: I have been working as a Brujah subcoord for nearly 5 years now.  I spent a long time as the Rant List Moderator as well as being one of the Mid Atlantic Brujah Subcoords.  During that time I created a spreadsheet/database we use to keep track of members of the rant and their ST contact information.  I have served as a Gangrel Subcoord for nearly two years as well as working as an Admissions Subcoord for the last three years.  I am currently the Brujah Coordinator.

Personal Statement:

I understand that there have been quite a few bumps in the road with the Brujah Coord position.  I strived last term to try to smooth things over and tie up loose ends.  I also tried to bridge the gap with Brazil and work closely with Marcio to keep Brazil included in the Brujah activities.  I understand that there are things I need to improve on this next term, as the last few months were definitly a learning experience!  I hope that the effort I put in this past term showed and that I can get a chance to improve things even more.

Goals:

  • Communication!: I feel that communication is the most important aspect of the coordinator position.  I usually have a 48 hour turn around period on answering emails, so I feel that I would be able to communicate timely and effectively with all parties.  I will strive to communicate concisely and effectively over email so that a) everyone knows whats going on without confusion and b) we do this with as few emails clogging up inboxes as possible.  I had some things happen in real life, including some serious family health situations.  There were some things that did fall through the cracks and I hope to improve communication even more this next term.

  • Finish plots:  I did put some more hints and tips out there (with the help of my awesome subcoords!) to try to further the changed plot.  I do have ideas of how I would like to wrap this chapter of the Brujah clan up.  Due to the timing, I was unable to get a prop in during my partial term, but I plan on getting a proposal out this upcoming spring or summer that will hopefully wrap things up.

Brujah packet:  I know the old packet has been a point of contention depending on which group of players you ask.  I would like to look over the packet, address what is missing and what might need elaborated on.  I hope to be able to get a revised packet out this next term that I hope everyone will like.
