Premise: In the wake of the 6th Great Maelstrom, the wraiths of Appalachia are picking up the pieces and putting their afterlives back together, but powerful forces are at work against them. Spectres still occupy the former Citadel, the Legions squabble among themselves for greater power, and the powerful hand of Fate moves them in unforeseen ways. Only virtue and wisdom will see the necropoli through these dark times.

Our themes are Hope, Mystery, and Volition
JID endeavors to be a friendly game to explore the dark themes of Wraith: the Oblivion. This juxtaposition is at the heart of Journey Into Dust. Our goal to help you tell your PCs story, but that story will not always be positive. Shadows and Spectres ensure that most stories set in the Underworld are tinged with a level of tragedy and despair. But at the heart of Journey Into Dust is the search for hope, even in the bleakest of circumstances.
There are a number of deep mysteries to the game and a profound history to the area and to the NPCs. Discovering how the pieces fit together will allow the players to overcome adversity.
We also seek to explore the theme of the machinations of others verse the Hand of Fate, and that the players are caught between these two powerful forces, and must carve out their own destines against difficult odds.
Information for Travellers: Non-Wraiths may visit this game only with prior permission of the HST; these will be handled on a case by case basis. Please do not assume that non-Wraiths will be automatically accepted.
