Tremere: Irregular Embraces added to the R&U

I have rallied behind never imposing an R&U without need and have tried to deregulate as many things as I have been able to as Tremere Coordinator so that the players and storytellers have more control over their game than a coordinator far away, but this is something that I have seen as a growing issue.

To explain, the Tremere are a very bureaucratic clan, high in ritual, very big in procedure and the record keeping that goes along with it. All Tremere, with very little exception, undergo a ritual called Transubstantiation of the Seven. This is their intro to the Tremere clan and part of their per book clan flaw of one step bound to the Pyramid. To us on staff, that means a variety of things, such as you're not a random embrace that we as the Pyramid know nothing about.

This is one of the many reasons why the Tremere are 99.9% loyal. We have our dirty little hands in all our members and you can't just up and leave. We don't forget about you. We don't ignore you. We use what we know and we hunt you down.

People who take this merit are attempting to use it and other ways to sidestep the Tremere clan flaw and at times sidestep bylaws such as R&Us like Specific Sect-Defector and Tremere Anti-Tribu being extinct. This cannot be allowed to happen in such a nonchalant and unregulated way. If you are Tremere, we have your name, your blood, and you cannot just walk away one day and expect everything to be fine. There is a reason why even White Wolf said that defectors who get away with it are few and far between. There is a reason why they have Perfect Infiltrators already being R&U.

At the same time, flaws happen, the Pyramid isn't perfect. Every once in a while people slip through the cracks, but not every ST can think that their latest player can be one of those slips. If they all were, we'd have no Pyramid and just a bunch of Gangrel. No offense to the dogs.

As such, I am proposing that "Tremere: Irregular Embraces" be added to 3.D of the R&U under Coordinator Approval.

I am also proposing that 4.F.iii be changed from:

iii) Perfect Tremere Infiltrator
(1) A perfect "Tremere infiltrator" is any non-Tremere character that is attempting to have a "Sire" or "Superior" in the clan cover for them as a member of House & Clan, or impersonate/replace/pose as a Tremere well enough to not arouse suspicion. To....

To....

iii) Tremere Groupings
1) A perfect "Tremere infiltrator" is any non-Tremere character that is attempting to have a "Sire" or "Superior" in the clan cover for them as a member of House & Clan, or impersonate/replace/pose as a Tremere well enough to not arouse suspicion.
2) An Irregular embrace is any Tremere Embraced without the Transubstantiation of the Seven cast upon them or any significant lacking of information on the Pyramid's end which would lead to their inability to hunt them as a rogue including a failure to keep blood, a false true name, or personal effects.

This proposal allows for grandfathering if granted Coordinator Approval within one month of it passing and having been distributed to both the Storyteller list and the Tremere OOC lists.
