Bylaw Revision 8.a.2 & 8.a.8:Changeto Character Regulation Bylaws
Open Votes
I hereby propose the following:
A decision for OWBN's stance on Dur-An-Ki is necessary. The current
bylaw, as copied below, will be changed to the appropriate vote
option's results. The bylaw as it reads now is:
"a) Blood Magic categories
The following styles, and variations, shall be considered "blood magic":
(1) Hermetic Thaumaturgy
(2) Assamite Sorcery
(3) Koldunic Sorcery
(4) Western Necromancy
(5) Voudoun Necromancy
(6) Ahku
(7) Wanga
(8) Dur-An-Ki
(9) Sadhana
(10) Nahuallotl"
The options for the vote are as follows:
1. Dur-an-ki is Assamite Sorcery, and vice versa as per the
interpretations of The Assamite Coordinator team of WW Cannon.
Change (Section -8.a) to:
"a) Blood Magic categories
The following styles, and variations, shall be considered "blood magic":
(1) Hermetic Thaumaturgy
(2) Assamite Sorcery (aka Dur-An-Ki)
(3) Koldunic Sorcery
(4) Western Necromancy
(5) Voudoun Necromancy
(6) Ahku
(7) Wanga
(8) Sadhana
(9) Nahuallotl"
2. Dur-an-ki is NOT Assamite Sorcery but a viable blood magic, and
right now is un-regulated, and will more than likely be followed up by a second prop later.
No change to bylaws needed. Further clarification around who should
regulate Dur-An-Ki should be defined in the future.
3. Dur-an-ki is NOT a viable blood magic for OWBN, as there is not clear definition of what it is or not, description/history and such. Shango are not a clan in OWBN, nor a bloodline in OWBN and they are the only ones in WW cannon that would be able to teach this and should stay away from it until further notice. Any practioners of Dur-an-ki will have to remove it from their sheet.
Change (Section - 8.a) to:
"a) Blood Magic categories
The following styles, and variations, shall be considered "blood magic":
(1) Hermetic Thaumaturgy
(2) Assamite Sorcery
(3) Koldunic Sorcery
(4) Western Necromancy
(5) Voudoun Necromancy
(6) Ahku
(7) Wanga
(8) Sadhana
(9) Nahuallotl
Dur-An-Ki as presented in White Wolf books and documentation is not a
viable source of blood magic for the Organization, and is not allowed
in OWBN games."
