I have been a storyteller in San Francisco's "Always Comes Evening" LARP since
June of 2000, and head storyteller since December of the same year. I have
served as Assamite Coordinator since June of this year, and sincerely hope to
continue doing so for 2002.

In addition to time spent within the OWbN organization, I have run LARPs of
varying sizes and topics for 6 years prior to this, ranging from Vampire to a
home rules Mage system.

I have had a great deal of tabletop storytelling experience. The tabletop
gaming that I have done was not what some call the "hack and slash" style, but
centered upon textured, well developed plot and characterization. As a real
life qualification, I am a manager of a graphic design team, and have
experience in managing disparate creative minds.

Personal Statement:

Among the Children of Haqim, we presently have a couple of strong stories ready
to begin amongst the Camarilla Assamites, the more significant of which I will
propose to council upon reelection. I look forward to seeing these plots
through, and to helping OWbN as Assamite Coordinator for another year.

In addition, the Mountain Loyal, Dispossessed, and Sabbat Assamites definitely
require more attention than they have received. They are a very small portion
of our numbers as players (if the list membership and the responses I've had
from STs are any indication), but there will be definite attention give to
their stories and plotline needs.

One of the most exciting things about being Coordinator for what is,
ultimately, a very small clan of PCs, is that I have been able to stay at least
peripherally aware of a large portion of our player base, and what their needs
are. Going forward, I would love to work with their respective STs to
establish unique plots for those who desire them, adding to the flavor and the
drama of playing an Assamite.

Thank you,
John Hawthorne
Assamite Coordinator
